World Cup: Two things to take note of

Post by MYMIND »

1. Nigeria has the LOWEST number of goals in World Cup Qualifying among all 32 World Cup participants. This is a FACT. Our goal scoring problem has been around for awhile. It did not start today. Whether we win, draw or lose today, the difficulties Keshi has had in getting this team to create chances and put them away will still be visible. When we had a striker as our coach (Siasia), we had a pretty good attacking game and a loose defense. Now, with Keshi a defender, we have an OK defense and a toothless attack. Is this a case of coaches not being able to add value in an area they never played in? The sample size is small but definitely should get us thinking.

2. Iran has a good defense! No doubt about it. IF they go home with 3 points and 3 draws, they will be heroes back home and deservedly so.

MY MIND as always
