Odemwingie praised Musa's confidence and composure in the game, and backed him to carry his current form to Nigeria's next game against France in Brasilia.
"Musa looked confident. We know his asset is his speed so we try to find him where we can just push the ball for him to run," Odemwingie said.
"He did that against Argentina and had two cool finishes. I hope he takes that confidence into the next game."

Musa like Messi scored a brace in the game to help Nigeria come from behind on two occasions, and Odemwingie believes the former Kano Pillars star deserves to have been named the man of the match ahead of the Argentine star.
