Re: A look at Nigerias Depth Chart (Every Position)
From now on anyone posting newer players must be an upgrade on what’s available. You cannot be posting bunch of backwater league players and expecting miracles at WC or ANC and in order for Nigeria to perform exceptionally at those 2 tournaments we need WORLD CLASS players. Any new players must be playing at top leagues like EPL, La Liga, Seria A, French lique. We can tolerate semi average league if that specific team is one of the best at that league. I.e Portugal (Porto) (benfica) Turkey (fenarbache, Galatasaray) etc but naming bunch of backwater league players and expecting miracles is being delusional. Also, proven experienced players can can listed irrespective of their league because they have shown capability at the highest level as long as they’re fit. I.e (Mikel)
Re: A look at Nigerias Depth Chart (Every Position)
Nigeria depth chart that I rate
RB - Aina - Torino (seria A) ebuehi - benfica
Lb - no one yet
Cb - Troost - seria A (Udinese) balogun - Brighton (Epl) Omeruo - Leganes ( La Liga)
Dm/cm/Am - ndidi - Leicester (epl) iwobi - arsenal (EPL) etebo (championship) stoke na fairly average club
Wingers - Moses simon - Levante (la Liga) chukwueze - Villarreal (la Liga) kalu - Bordeaux (lique 1 ) onyekuru- Galatasaray (big club) success - Watford (Epl)
Cf Iheanacho - Leicester ( EPL)
The likes of Musa, mikel are legends that has nothing else to prove at SE and as long as they’re fit, they will be called up.
I’m looking at my list and almost all the players listed are performing at average clubs (top leagues) however, we need them to perform extremely well so they can be signed at the best clubs at those leagues. Also, Nigeria fans must accept reality and stop putting coaches under tremendous players because we just have a group of average players. Our boys needs to step up and I believe they can make those big moves. Say no to backwater teams, leagues etc if you aspire to beat the best you need the best

Depth chart is not a list of invitees to the national team. its a pool of players that can be drawn from whenever the need arises. for example, you listed only 4 CDs, what happens if for example, Awaziem is injured, who replaces him? we have only 1 possible replacement, wich is Semi.
Again, some of these "backwater" league players in a season or 2 might end up in the Top league. Kalu was in Backwater league as of last season, same with s.moses, aina was in the championship, Ebuehi n Den haag (sounds like some type of Viagra), Shehu in cyprus, idowu in some team in Russia, Ekong in bursaspor before that belgium, NOrway, Ejaria in championship, etc. Hell, a Serie B player like Kingsley Micheal could very likely be in the Serie A before the end of January as Bologna are likely to call of the loan deal.
Besides majority of the players on the list have Belgium, Turkey, Russia(where your Musa played majority of his life before flopping hopelessly as leicester then back to Russia for redemption), Portugal, Bundesliga, Serie A. Belgium, Turkey, Russia, Portugal are known as Tier 2 Leagues while Bundesliga and Serie A are tier 1.
The only backwater leagues (tier 3 clubs) are
1. Norway: Ifeanyi Mathew has proven to be the Top 3 best players in Norway in the past 3 seasons, Ejuke's season is hot and has the highest dribble stats in the league, while Adegbenro is a confirmed starter and his team in always in the Europa.
2. Switzerland: Stephen Odey has been hot this season and played in the Europa.
3. Denmark: Onuachi has been banging in goals in the past 3 seasons. Rohr even confirmed he was to be invited until he got injured.
4. Alhaly: Voted best player in Africa last year and he doesnt deserve a chance liek Amuneke did?
5. Serie B: you listed Serie B as backwater league but Collins is on your list and he is in Germany D2. Kingsley Micheal is one of the hottest players right now in Italy.
6. Championship: same level as German D2 or Serie B.
If you wanted backwater leagues, i would have put Eze in Bulgaria, Olayinka in Czech republic etc or i would have put non-starters in tier 2 leagues like Ajagun, Imo ezekiel etc.

But unlike Simi, we haven’t tried him yet. I don’t so much care about the league rather can the player deliver for SE. We have already seen what Simi has to offer and he is NOT it, so he should be removed from any list till he improves. Let’s not forget he’s not a ‘young’ player either...wale1974 wrote:But Kingsley Michael is from Serie B toomaceo4 wrote:Very annoying, they are still listing Simy from Serie B...john12 wrote:You guys never learn keep posting backwater leagues guys na thunder go faya anyone wet go expect rohr to turn magician and use backwater beat world class

Macaroni unfortunately brother you have to care about their leagues if you want SE to progress internationally. The simple fact is that for SE to aspire/elevate to Wc Qf, SF or even finals we need our players at the best clubs/leagues in the world and mark my word, If SE top players continue playing at backwater teams/leagues it would be hard to even reach R16 of WC anytime soon. Coaches aren’t magicians

The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. We are prone to overestimate how much we understand about the world and to underestimate the role of chance in events -- Daniel Kahneman (2011), Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics
