Anthony Ujah and the 110km/h goal.

Post by Yiba »

Anthony Ujah has received positive reviews from German press after his 110km/h goal against Stuttgart. Ujah is comfortable in his new position as the hoffnungsträger in Cologne. Since Patrick Helmes is injured, it was left for Ujah to prove himself in the Bundesliga. The goal against Stuttgart, is his first goal in first division. Like I reiterated in other threads, Ujah has strong competition from Zoller and Osako.

Interestingly, the coach, Stoger, has found a method of playing all three in a game. Will the coach continue the system after Helmes comes back from injury ? Definitely, it will depend on how the three perform in subsequent matches. Presently, Ujah has his position under luck and key.

Also, Ujah is integrated in the Cologne team and with the fans. There is a special song for Ujah from the fans. If he keeps up with his performance, he might become one of Cologne's greatest player in the mould of Toni Polster. He speaks moderate German in interviews and he has a laid back attitude. These are attributes that attract interest and awe from the passionate Cologne fans.

In an article in BILD Ujah, spoke about the goal. He said the goal against Stuttgart was important for the team and his self esteem. Also, as a kid in Nigeria, he played with his bare feet. His feet so developed that he could take hard shots or pile drivers . To get a better understanding of his muscular composure,he was measured from his waist to toe. Here are the results:

Image
102cm from waist to toe

Image
56cm muscles in his thigh

Image
26,5cm is his right foot long

I wish him all the best in Cologne.
