^Wenger said we will challenge and it would be foolish to consider such words mere poppycock. As long as there is a possibility, it's possible. Go out there, win every game and see what Lady Luck has to offer.

Liverpool will drop points and i expect manu to do the same consider they have play more games with europa than any other team this seasons. No reason for us to allow manu finish ahead of us. City also look suspect and hope they deop points Manchester derby i hope it draw.
beat LC, Spurs and Man U....just like dat. Ordinary West Brom una no fit beat.

Try to win with his resources he has when compared to the teams who have since he came to Arsenal. It took Leicester 135 years with their resources. Arsenal has won the EPL 3 times under him despite having the handicap of inferior money both in transfers and wages thanks to him.

Many say Wenger has refused to sign a contract because the club will not pay up for Ozil and Sanchez. The club are also ready to cash in by selling to a rival. How can you win the league when you are forced to consistently sell your best players?

Wenger won league titles by keeping his best players. He has won trophies recently by keeping his best players, but he needs more to win the league. Instead we are hearing the club will lose their 2 best players instead of adding more.

Studies already showing Chelski had the lest injuries and played the same players the most times. Just like Leicester last season. Arsenal still by miles with the worst injury record of the top teams. Chelski with their squad still dropped points when they had disruptions but Arsenal have done excellent to be in top 4 with the injuries and squad quality in the last 4 seasons. This season, it looks like it might finally catch up with them.

You pay for what you get most of the time in the modern game, go look at Chelski's options in midfield and what they are paid when compared to Arsenal. If only we signed Kante eh? Chelski's wage bill for the 2014/15 season was £24m more than Arsenal's wages bill for the 2015/16 season. Think about it. Yet you all feel Arsenal are entitled to win the league, on what basis? It is a false sense of entitlement no other manager can fix unless we invest like the others in our squad.

In the CL, apart from 2 or 3 times, since we reached the final, Arsenal have consistently being knocked out by teams who have spent way more than us in wages and transfers. Bayern in the last 2 seasons outspent Arsenal considerably in wages alone. The fact remains, unless we get a lucky draw, getting out of the group stages is our true level until we are willing to invest a lot more on considerably better players. Do you see Bayern lose their best players to other teams in Europe consistently? If only Arsenal are like them eh?

LVG did not make top 4 cos of injury problems in his final season, but their injury problems that season was better than Arsenal with an inferior squad.

Henry recently revealed he stayed at Arsenal despite Chekski amongst others offering to treble his Arsenal wages. Sadly for Arsenal, Henry is one of a kind.

Wenger's achievements has created a false sense of entitlement amongst some supporters but he remains our best bet for league glory given our inferior resources. Give Wenger the same resources his rivals have at Chelski, ManU and City, none of them will be able to compete with him.

Pure excuses.........in the last 4 seasons Wenger had the best opportunity to win the EPL @ least twice whilst other big teams were in limbo
To even mention Leicester as an excuse for Wenger not winning is disgraceful to the badge and quite laughable.......how dare you mention a club that took advantage of the other big teams failures to win last seasons EPL to justify wenger's inadequate abilities to reign, a club that a season before was fighting relegation    ......
......the fact that the team had no bottle and the manager failed to inspire speaks volumes during the great capitulation... Man City just waited until clockwork Wenger gave them the title.
....I will say it again, you can give all the subjective 'data' you like, you can make all the excuses you want......Arsene Wenger WILL NEVER WIN THE EPL AGAIN

Thank you for asking such question. Is Atletico Madrid,Monaco, dortmund spending more than us Oga Plat?
I think our problem has been Wenger poor management and judgement,Last 4 years we should have won 2 major trophies minimum with other clubs changing managers and we had a stable boss incharge.Buying Ozil with buying the player that Ozil need around him to function well was not a good move. The Saurez deal was a joke,We should have sign a better players that stick with likes of Arteta and Flamini, why paid 35 and 30 million for Mustafi and Xhaka when he could have got two better players for the money of one?I know when it comes to been cheap and buy good players for cheap he was the master but that era is over. You look at a team like Sevilla buying smart. We have so much average players on high salary its shocking. We are not even competing for the title that is our big issue. This season we were talking about having a complete team for the first time moving to emirate yet not good to even finish in top 4 if others did not drop points.

Hmmm Oga Wenger if he is not fit keep him to rest and ready for the weekend game against spurs. Please no do rush rush like small boy zidan and Bale is out again...
Very injury prone & he obviously felt bad enough to need crutches.
It'll be irresponsible to throw him outthere when we have options

Wenger loaned the 25-year-old to Bournemouth at the start of the season.

But there has been no interest from the Cherries, or any other clubs in the Premier League, in trying to sign Wilshere on a permanent deal this summer.

And that could force the England midfielder to contemplate a lucrative move to China if the Arsenal talks go badly.
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/footba ... ague-China
I wouldn't take the star seriously but if Jack is considering going to China, it means he has given up on trying to be a bonafide pro.
Given his total lack of fitness repping England in France last summer, he come a long way play some 30 matches this season. after the injury, he should be training to become the fittest he has ever been coming to preseason camp - the ball work will come - is he willing to do the work??
Bros if china offer him 250 k a week he should go sign 5 years play and ready for his kid future. When you get many injuries like that some time you just have to rethink.Coach said he will never be fine and he should take beloved to club.
Also Jack will not be ready for preseason.Jack would not have play so many games under Wenger because of our bad method of training players. Our system forced players to get expose to injuries,LVG also has that method of training
Pitches, medical facilities for football related injuries aren't as good in China. Several of the players who went over there on this money have suffered serious injuries only to return to Europe for treatment.
Jack's latest injury was off a tackle with Kane - nothing to do with training methods - my belief about his mentality stands - you can always go to China when your career is folding - just get down & get fit for next season.

Hope to see ElNeny, Gibbs, Bellerin, and Iwobi today.

Tonight's 11 -

Arsenal XI vs. Leicester: Čech; Gabriel, Koscielny, Monreal; Bellerín, Coquelin, Xhaka, Gibbs; Özil, Alexis; Walcott. #afc

I like the balance of Monreal playing as 1 of the 3CBs with Gibbs as wingback - Gabo has played at RB b4 covering Hector at WB. We have enough to nullify Vardy & their winger. i hope Ozil.Alexis & Xhaka don't play too much past 60mins.
One i had hoped for earlier:

Iwobi Welbeck Theo
Gibbs Hector
Coq Elneny
Holding Kos Gabriel
Cech

Holding isn't even on the sub bench - hope it's precaution.
Let's do this - Gooners.

I'm pretty sure you remember all your words and proclamations about how Arsenal is now ready to compete. Wetin happen?
We were competiting and progressing until we decided not to pony up for Kante and not to meet the wage demands of Ozil and Sanchez.

We need to improve, we cannot continue doing it on the cheap.

BTW! I noticed you have not contested any factual statement I have made. Not a surprise, it does not suit your Wenger out agenda.

Blaming Wenger is pointless, it is something the Emirates faithful know only too well. It is why they have stuck with Wenger so far. We competed for a while and won silverware, the others have upped their game and if we are not willing to match them, then we hope Wenger goes nowhere because no one can do the job he is doing on that resources. But it seems Wenger is not willing to continue competing with financial handicap.

When he goes, I will watch to see how soon before you all here start calling for the new Manager's head.

And I agree with DT 100%.
Many players were pathetic today. I don't need to name names.
We got lucky.
We must judge the coach based on his performance in EPL and CL. FA Cup is a bonus.

2006/2007: PSV Eindhoven
2007/2008: Liverpool
2008/2009: ManUnited
2009/2010: Barcelona
2010/2011: Barcelona, 2nd round (Arsenal finished only 2nd in the group behind Donezk and thus had a high chance of meeting a team like Barca)
2011/2012: AC Milan
2012/2013: Bayern (Arsenal finished only 2nd behind Schalke and thus had a high chance of meeting a team like Bayern)
2013/2014: Bayern (Arsenal finished only 2nd behind Dortmund)
2014/2015: Monaco
2015/2016: Barca (Arsenal finished only 2nd behind Bayern)
2016/2017: Bayern

In 2008/2009, 2009/2010, 2015/2016 and this season (4 times) Arsenal was indeed unlucky. But in the other seasons they were either knocked out by teams with less money or met teams so early in the competition, because teams with less money topped the group (6 times). I considered Liverpool as roughly equal as I was too lazy to look up how much money they had at that time.

Arsenal has been underachieving for quite some time in the CL.
