I like a system where Ox & Hector are our 2 main out balls - you cannot be resigned to just sitting deep vs ManC - turn them back & work their backline - beyond that we must fight to control possession - they're not counterattack specialists - they need the ball.
I prefer the defensive work of Coq & Elneny to Xhaka/Ramsey plus Elneny moves the ball better than Ramsey. whose runs from deep exposes Xhaka who's a foul prone tackler.
The three defenders in this set can calmly bring the ball from the back plus Monreal's lack of pace is less of a problem. the space between Coq & Elneny needs to be under control.
tols.....I have no confidence in hectors attacking game......how many times this season have you seen him take on a defender, use his burst of speed and cross the ball into the box?
more often than not, he stalls then checks back....

My Son has been fit for little more than a foster home for most of the season. Pathetic.

@Tolahs, granted 3 points followed Beloved back to the big city, but anyone suggesting the team looked at ease in the system is misguided by the result and the result alone. The defending in the channels by the outer centres and the covering of the wide forwards in the defensive phase was reminiscent of Sam Peters' cover up vs Klitschko. Better to go back to what the players know, irrespective how sh*t they've been in all shapes. If anything, a 4-4-2 would be the better option, give Winston Delroy Sane a one manned wing to run at and it'll be a repeat of the Vaseline-free buggering issued earlier this season.

4-4-2 with Mustafi shouting at teammates for the full ninety and its a done deal.

North London derby final? But then again, it's Tottenham vs Chelsea at Wembley. Operative word being, Wembley .

Glad to see the fanbase allowing a game against Boro (the most toothless attack in the League) cloud their judgement.
With Holding out, you'll stop rolling on the floor - put your choice in - how long is Mustafi out for? Gabriel ain't bad either!!!

I am more concerned with his defending than attack - offensively, i wonder how a Barca kid's so poor in choices made in the last 3rd - but he's had some awesome days.
My thinking's we straight out need killer paces at the wingback spots hence Ox is out left with Monreal as support defender - Hector playing wingback with killer options inside to get the ball to - Alexis & Welbeck with their off the ball movement create headaches for ManC M/F & defense.

4 UCL semis for Monaco. How many does Arsenal have? Gooners need to face the reality of what Arsenal is. A very well run business.

You can dream but there is no chance of either player joining a side that will most likely not be in Europe next season.

@Bepanda, but what is his net spend? Any reply should be embellished in the reddest of inks please.

@G1, word on the street is, its a fracture, would be interesting to review the mechanism of injury and degree of impact. Breaks are breaks unfortunately and tend to be a result of force beyond the force of recoil. Many years back, one detailed a remark from a certain professional at a function, Wilshere's joints are shot, his cartilage and ligaments, a mess, there followed a reference to Hargreaves if not mistaken. T'is another setback for the lad and once again all are indulging the ritualistic routine of wishing back to good health. Truth is, Jack's body won't permit the fulfilment of the potential once boasted and many in certain circles attribute some of his malaise to the mismanagement of his condition/injuries behind the great gates of Ashburton. Hence the Hargreaves forewarning.

Godspeed to him.

Media and some Gooners need to slow down hyperbole on Arsenal , a "born again" AW & a back 3..barely coped with a Boro side that would struggle to score candy on Halloween night.

If Wenger try that back 3 again against City we might collect 5 goals.
We need that FA cup not to go 2 years without anything though our objective remain CL and EPL as major trophies.
@Bepanda can you list wenger resume also?
Guys I want FA cup final to be Spurs vs Arsenal,if we finish outside top 4 we celebrate beaten Spurs to the trophy

No team on planet earth will be ease in a new formation even a confident squad. Going back to what the players know as you suggest is to pretend we weren't being slaughtered in that system. 4-4-2 call has to be a joke - we don't have the industry you need from the front 2 to even go there plus you're outnumbered in midfield vs Pep's ManC?
I'll rather play a system with 3 central defenders on the pitch - less defensive duties for speedy FBs & a defensive couple midfielders in Coq & Elneny to shield the backline & help compact the pitch.
