Absolutely. In regard to Efe Ambrose, t'is no more than patriotism that has anyone leaping to his defence. Juventus, Fenerbache, countless SPL games, absolute dogsh*t. Were he Plantanian he'd be the but of all jokes by those very same people claiming he's victimised. Efe is garbage. Garbage in a black bag, tied up and left outside for collection. More importantly is the fact that, he's under contract and handsomely paid. Rather than argue the indefensible, celebrate the matter of fact. More success to him. Celtic will move him on this season or next, hopefully he kicks the right destination. Is it too soon for China?

Because they are champions of their country - and were victorious after playing 4 qualifying games in the qualifying stage of the Champions League.

Not sure why you think because Rangers not only destroyed themselves but refused to show any humility after the fact.

Anyway I am pleased that Ambrose wasn't involved in that match.
By destroying Rangers sending them down the league, they enjoyed an unholy monopoly for the last 5 or so years. They have been winning the league without any credible opposition year in year out while competing with useless clubs. It became so routine they were selling their best players knowing they would always win the league and be in Europe. Over the last 5 years their quality went down, no derbies, no team to push them to the wire...they simply went down the sewage drain.

It is asinine to go after institution instead Of The people running it. Rangers as an institution does not run itself and whatever infringement it might have committed it made more sense to punish the people behind it rather have a go at the whole institution only to end up destroying not only Rangers but also the Scottish league turning it into a Mickey mouse one team league.

Whatever benefits there are in laws and justices, it becomes destructive when people hide under sectarian and age old conflicts when applying it.
As it is not a Rangers thread, I will try not to drag this one on for too long.

Rangers destroyed themselves by spending money they didn't have winning titles which culminated in them being eventually sold for wxactly 1 pound.

They went into administration and thought they were too big to suffer the fate of clubs that go into administration. Instead of showing some semblance of humility, they were threatening other clubs thinking the whole Scottish football system would fall apart if they were not in the Premiership or were accepted by the English.

By the way, the Rangers that won all those titles are dead, the new Rangers are owned by a company founded when they were rightfully thrown out of the league.

Sectarianism had nothing to do with it, if anything the Celtic board wanted them to stay because of the money they were going to lose without Rangers. Fans of all other teams were the ones that threatened hell if Rangers were not punished as stated in black and white as what's the point of selectively applying laws.

It is sad to see what has happened to the SPL. 25-30 years ago Rangers and Celtic were loaded and were richer than English teams. They were signing the top expensive English talent and taking them up north (not the other way like it is now). The Old Firm signed up top English internationals (remember when Rangers and Celtic were signing players AWAY from English clubs - players like Wilkins, Hateley, Butcher, Stevens, Gascoigne.....). Many of the best players in the England team used to play for Rangers.

What on earth happened to Scottish football?!

For all the investment, no return, as far as the big chips be concerned. Rangers squandered millions on Yahoozies they mistook for missing links to their European success #sebrozenthal. Celtic are, simply put, sh*te, the game has moved on and left the ragtag behind. There is no appeal to Scotland and consequently, no oil money bankrolling the growth of their game. Going nowhere Premier league clubs can attract foreign investment, the top of the pops in Scotland don't have the same appeal. Imagine. Celtic will disgrace themselves again this season.

That is an utterly brutal assessment of poor Efe. Sadly he has had some utter stinkers for Celtic.

The pattern of Celtic's key signings say such about how far their stock has fallen. One of their key signings this summer was Scott Sinclair (who played in the EPL for relegated Aston Villa). Another of their key players is Kris Commons (who was signed from Derby County in the English second division). The fact that players playing in tier 2 are going straight into the first team of the Scottish champions is worrying.

Not too long ago they had a team with quality internationals from all over the globe, including: a world class striker in Henrik Larsson (he was bigger that Zlatan), Lubo Moravcik, Bobo Balde, Chris Sutton, Berkovic, Petrov, Lennon, Mjallby, and Valgaaren.

So sad to see what has become of that proud club.

Very sad to see what has become of the former European champions Celtic. Trounced again 0-5 at home by PSG. In the space of 1 year they suffered their biggest ever away defeat (0-7 to Barca) and biggest ever home defeat (0-5 to PSG) in European competition.
