Liverpool have reached an agreement with Bury for the purchase of highly-rated teenage defender Emeka Obi, according to the Bury Times.
The record-breaking youngster, who made his Shakers debut at just 15 years and 86 days old, is set to move to Anfield for a six-figure fee – with add-ons to follow if certain clauses are met.
Visa issues, due to Obi’s Nigerian heritage, are delaying matters at the moment, but the Reds are confident that they have a deal in place for one of English football’s most exciting talents.
