An Overlapping fullback or a winger playing deep

Different schools of thought as to which approach is better.

England just burnt Scotland who used Ikechi Anya as a full back. He did not play badly, but lacked the awareness of a fullback and did not put sufficient pressure on the balls that were crossed for the 1st 2 goals.

I think it all boils down to personnel & right now we have some great wing players while struggling a bit with full backs. I personally prefer full backs that can attack. A David Alaba or Roberto Carlos. You get the occasional bonus of the extra man on attack without giving up much defensively. Forwards don't tend to have that defensive discipline, although we saw Osaze do a great job against Bosnia in the World Cup.

In a sense I understand Rohr's bold approach. We can't have passengers on the field. He already attempted a fix with Ndidi on the right & that did not turn out too well.

Moses, Mikel, Onazi & Musa need to be super focused & disciplined tomorrow.
