Post by Field Marshall Ogolo »

maybe they would have qualified for AFCOn 2017!
Aptly named after a great man ( Sir Seretse Khama ) the player is following the giant footsteps well-well.
He plies his trade for Mamelodi Sundowns.
According to Wikipedia, Khama Billiat received high praise from Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand.!

Nigeria players are not as hungry... by the way, I just read in the Daily nation newspaper that Harambe Stars can only boast of one football player, the remaining members of the team are all long distance runners

Chief, to be fair how else do you explain your country's failure to qualify for the biennial tournament ? Not once, but twice in a row!?
For a country with an unofficial population of 220 million souls, that's 440 million people who could not qualify for a tournament.
India also has trouble qualifying for any event in the Olympics?
Why is Nigeria turning into Africa's India? Can every citizen account for what they are doing to correct this worrying trend?

But that's a surprise for Nigeria to miss so many recent tournaments but when some smaller nation qualifies that's a national holiday!

Here is the backhanded praise...

Manchester United's veteran defender Rio Ferdinand expressed his admiration for Ajax Cape Town talisman Khama Billiat.

Ferdinand's United side were held 1-1 by the Urban Warriors in an enthralling clash at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.

"If they are really youngsters, they have quite a few of really good players. Their two centre halves (Nazeer Allie and Matthew Booth) but their number 11 (Billiat) is their most exciting player for me, Ferdinand told Football411.com after the match.

"He is good when in position, good ball control and a can use his speed really well, overall an exciting player."
