Now he needs to keep an eye on the staff so they don't do their food shopping from the orphanage store room.

    Jude Ighalo!!!!!! Impressive way of giving back to the community.

Ok.. I like him now... They can invite back to the eagles... I promise not to talk about Ighalo anymore..

That's very, very philanthropic of him.....Sets a great example for many.. instead of people crying in Nigeria everyday about how the government does not set up welfare programs for ex-players... There is nothing stopping private citizens , current players from setting up an annuity fund that helps them.

We need to a show more leadership and do more self help things for our selves.

IMHO, this is why it is mind boggling that those who embezzle Nigeria's money continue to showcase ill-gotten wealth whereas we have people like Ighalo who have worked so hard for their money giving back to the people. The day of reckoning may be ahead.

Individuals should act, charity is great, but....
“On the one hand we are called to play the good Samaritan on life's roadside; but that will be only an initial act. One day we must come to see that the whole Jericho road must be transformed so that men and women will not be constantly beaten and robbed as they make their journey on life's highway. True compassion is more than flinging a coin to a beggar; it is not haphazard and superficial. It comes to see that an edifice which produces beggars needs restructuring".

Not when 90% of the populace seems to be looking to get into the game...

Sorry Bros, but when you've been here you just pray that Ighalo is careful or lucky enough...
That the person(s) he puts in charge does not robs him blind (and even sell or impregnate a few kids).
