One thing is certain, this type of performance will not get them past Zamalek who they meet in the first round.

The only silver lining against Zamalek is that the opening leg is in Cairo.
The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. Yes, Up Rangers but their performance from pre-season to now has not been great. They need to up their game, which I believe they can do, if they are to make their mark this season. Same coach, essentially same or even better squad, no reason not to improve this year unless of course there are administrative issues that we do not know.

Are Wiki the team that wouldn't let anyone (Nigerian) beat them at home for years and had referees quaking in their boots?

Ifeanyi Ubah knocked out on penalties.

Tough start for Nigerian clubs.

Particularly disappointing that Wikki could not get past a Sierra Leonian side

I was trying to get an update on the games & checked a site I visited a few times for credible Nigerian soccer news.

Sadly, it has closed down.

So when John Ogu's Isreali side eliminated Southampton and Inter, it was proof of the "low level" of the EPL and Serie A?

I think you'd find that Nigerian club sides have made 1 Final & several SFinals since 2004; the stand-out being the 2009 SFinal between Heartland & Pillars...

Pretty decent for a league that suffers greater perennial drain of its best talents than other leagues on the continent.

You'll find that Nigeria hasn't done badly in CAF Champions League history, despite the low trophy count:

Egypt 14 6
DR Congo 6 6

Nigeria 2 5
Ivory Coast 2 2
