Some men YUJAM do not need any 'pressure' to beat their women. For them, - and they are many - women are 'kept in check' that way and it has nothing to do with pressure.

A friend was telling me just recently how on the one hand he 'regretted' beating his wife a few months ago but in the same breath said 'she made me do it'.

Women can provoke a man beyond reason but the wise and mature thing is to walk away. Women too need to recognize that you cannot continue to poke (ie provoke) a man and expect him to lie down and just accept it. He either walks away (which they hate) or he reacts violently.
They just don't get it.

The natural response of the male to provocation is physical. Walking away takes a lot of self-control. Women have the additional option of crying and letting out their frustrations that way. Men don't have that option as we are 'deprogrammed' from crying from a very young age.

Still, too many men think beating a woman can be justified and I bet you there are many reading this right now that don't know what the hell we are talking about.
Spot on, Prince

My ex wife hit me for 5 good years. The only time i hit her back after 5 years of phycical abuse, she called the police
You can't compare hitting your wife to her hitting you though. You are in control when she hits you and can physically restrain her at any time... she's not in control when you hit her.

Funny how people are blaming babylon and some are asking for the wife to be shipped back... victim blaming

This is truly a repulsively stupid post! So stupid that idiocy has never seen such imbecility in writing.
Sad isn't it?
I did not say it's not wrong for a woman to hit a man. I am against violence in general but the truth is that my gut reaction to both cases are different and even though some of you may not admit it, we instinctively know one is more "wrong" than the other.

A tendency towards violence is what both cases have in common but a man who hits his wife isn't just violent, he is also a bully. If my brother is beaten by his wife, I'll speak to her first; if my sister is beaten by her husband, I'll report the man to the police. Men and women are equal in many ways but we are a lot stronger...

True, he's a nice, humble guy - he bought me a drink when I bumped into him at a strip club.
We need to unpack this quote.

1. First of all, was he married then?
My guess is yes, since I assume it is from his time in England, ur domicile.

2. If as above he was indeed married then as he is now, then, how do you reconcile this with the first part of your statement- 'nice, humble guy'?
To whom is he nice and humble?

3. First he was playing online poker. Then he was bumping into a bra at a strip club. Then he was chatting to Her Majesty's finest; all the while being "nice and humble"....

This thread is truly hilarious :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
Are you saying he is not humble or he did not buy me a drink?

I've met him twice and he was humble and polite both times. The second time was in London and I literally bumped into him. I tripped on the road and held onto this dude to break my fall. To my utter surprise it was our Ahmed. He was with Okazaki and was very polite and even apologised after I'd knocked into him! I asked them where they were headed that night and Musa just smiled as he walked into the brothel we were standing outside. He is a very humble, very nice man!

This story might not be true.
Bro I am just seeking clarification...

And, btw what part of the story "might not be true"?

First u 'bumped into him'. Then u 'literally bumped into him'. Then u 'tripped into him'? Which one exactly is it?

He is a nice, polite and humble married man. And he just smiled and walked into a brothel! :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

And u were standing outside the brothel. Now if u were standing how did you manage to trip on the road and break your fall with Musa?

How long did all this take? And was that sufficient time to reach the conclusion that he is a nice, polite and humble married man while going into a brothel?
Oga, I tripped and stumbled then knocked into him now. Wetin? We were walking towards each other and it just so happened to occur in front of this well-known brothel. We spoke for about a minute and I asked him if he remembered that time he brought me a drink in the strip club after he got a lap dance. He said he did but I knew he didn't. He was just being polite. :D He was very humble and gracious and then he walked into the brothel - it was Asian Takeaway night there - which is probably why Okazaki was there.

This story also might not be true.

Wait o!

Are we talking one or two strip club appearances?

And did u happen to trip and stumble into him both times?

And was it also Asian Takeaway night on the first trip?

Nna, the most important takeaway from all these tori is that he was humble and very, very nice whether he be playing online poker, getting lap dances, frequenting brothels or being questioned by the police. :D

Not sure why people are crucifying Niyi. He is not justifying spousal abuse but stating that the system is rigged in favor of women and that no sensible man should retaliate if a woman tries or physically assault him. Just get out of there before you make the situation worse.

Some of the responses in this thread explains our society (those of us in diaspora) as you can easily spot the women beaters. Theyd be quick to import a home based woman so they can beat her for kicks. They wouldn't dare do the same to Western women because they know the consequences; sadistic control freaks.

Anyway, A4Life - thank you for sharing your experience. I know (like Damunk said) some women can push our buttons but manmi many hardworking Nigerians here in the US have lost it all over a moment of weakness that led to something like you encountered. It's not worth it bro and I hope all is well on your end.

Not so fast brah...

When did lap dancing come into this conversation?

And on the subject of takeaways, we have this nice, humble and polite married man who, at least by your accounts, has a proclivity for strip clubs, specifically identified for a particular taste of the Eastern variety...Takeaway style!

But he is nice, humble and polite, with an even nicer family portrait, but yet ends up in conversation with Her Majesty's finest?

What takeaway (that word again!) reconciles this kaleidoscope of adjectives?

Ahmed Musa's chick picture..

Post by Purity »

I do not know how to paste pics...

It was reported yesterday that footballer Ahmed Musa and his wife fought so badly that the police was called to their home and the fight was over Musa's side chick, a lady named Juliet, who he wished a happy birthday on his IG page.

Ahmed and Juliet have been dating for over two years and from what was gathered, He got her a place in Lekki and a Mercedes Benz C300.

They had their introduction on March 25th and he's planning to marry her sometime in July.

You should ask which name Juliet will change to after becoming the second wife, Abi na Jumai or ??? :rotf: :rotf:

All you men who have side chicks, let me advise you now! The highlighted is the smartest thing any man can ever do! Never ever buy your side chick a car, clothes or send her on vacation. Buy a house in YOUR name and have her live in the house. She will call you a big boy because you "bought her a house." She will take care of the house because "its her house," and you being a foolish old man, you will pour money into the house to make it look nice for her.

The important issue here is that real estate appreciates. An even when it depreciates, with time, it appreciates again. Which means, in years to come, you will have an asset most likely more valuable than when you bought it. And when the relationship is over, you just go to court and evict her. She cannot take the house and runaway.

While we were worried about the effect of club form, SE captaincy etc on Ahmed Musa, the bobo was busy making Romeo shuttles to Lagos to arrange Juliet.

One CE member even expressed concern that it might be serious family palaver, having seen him on flights to Nigeria twice within a few weeks.

Nothing to worry about folks. Musa is fine.

You should house them in the same place. First of all, she is your side chick. And as a real man, you should not be afraid of your side chick. She knows her position. All of them should be able to stay under the same roof, so that you can "come and go" as you please. Make it clear to all of them that anyone who causes trouble in the "house" will be dumped and evicted. Let me see the side chick in this wretched economy in Nigeria who will cause trouble in that house, after that warning. Those who live in Nigeria will tell you how hard it is to find and maintain accommodation outside your father's house. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

If you are afraid of your side chick and you have money, absolutely nothing wrong in investing in multiple real estate assets. :D
