Today's Mustafi is the guy who played the first few games earlier last year. He was willing, aggressive but fair. Overall, our Back 3 was solid...
Ramsey did well, mostly because he stayed disciplined and the guys in front of him also were very disciplined and actually helped. Iwobi and Welbeck were huge defensively.
Just imagine the Lazy German had played ... He would had offered nothing going forward and absolutely no defensive help and Arsenal would have been defending with one fewer players.

The real question is: Will Wenger learn from today's game? Most coaches will re-use the same lineup, when it produces good results ... and make changes, when embarrassed (like Stoke, Liverpool). .. Watch Wenger try to sneak in ... his favorite lazy player in the next game !!!

Mesut Özil has been man of the match in two of the three wins for Arsenal vs Conte's Chelsea. He was close to being so in the FA Cup Final.

Facts not feeling.

And today of all day when Xhaka and Ramsey decided to play a disciplined combination akin to what obtains with the German national team Ozil was missing via injury. If he had played giving the play of Ramsey and Xhaka today, we would have beaten Chelsea. The play of Xhaka and Ramsey today is type of platform required to get Ozil zooming all over the pitch.

Bepanda this has been so obvious from the jump and what has made me so furious over the guy and Wengers staff to see the obvious . The has no impact offensively or defensively so in essence you're playing a man down against a top team on the road : and people wonder why our record is so poor

I guess the German coach too has a lot of time on his hand such that Ozil is one of the first names in hist XI.

Yup he is rated so high that In an era of over spending where the Ox in his final year is sold to Liverpool for 40 million, not even one club came in for him :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: keep grasping at straws :
Funny even a German coach wouldn't look at him for a discount price :rotf: :rotf:

Aniks no worry 2018 world cup is coming with Germany being the likely winners. Your guess is as good as mine who will be among the top German starters in Russia.

He was actually in agreement with you. He in essence was infering that you must have a lot of time to try to keep using facts to correct some one with biases against Ozil.

Again explain why no club even in a financial doped environment gave him a sniff at a discount price .... I know avoid the truth :woot: :woot:

No club came after Isco whose fast ending contract was only just erupted last week....by your sagacious logic...Isco is garbage. No club has come after Messi, his contract ends at the end of the season. Iniesta? Same deal....they must all be rubbish because your logic is of course, as usual, flawless :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Azuka you want to compare Isco and Messi with Ozil ? :rotf: :rotf: have you read the papers or listened to the pundits on television or radio? Go and make a hopeless argument like that and see whether the paramedics won't escort you to the padded rooms

Ozil is finished. He is a spineless twat that no one wants and now everyone knows it  Isco by the way has re-signed to a mega deal with a 632 million pound release clause .... Barca say an announcement is imminent for Messi. Any news for Ozil? :rotf: I rest my case bro

Ooh yeah? I gues these pundits know better than the German World Cup winning coach who CONSTANTLY selects him. Wake me up when any of these pundits win the least cup in England talk less of qualifying a team to the world cup.

Again you keep making this country argument because you know you have no argument when it comes to his every day career.

No top club wants him including Arsenal. Wenger hasn't shown any rush to re-sign him. Those talks ended in February . Again all top clubs know Arsenal can't wait to get rid of him and yet none of them are showing any interest so what does that tell you :woot:

My good man stop please .... this is hilarious

"Arsene Wenger made a difference," Neville told Sky Sports. "He chose attitude and hard work over talent.

Iwobi and Welbeck did what Ozil and Sanchez didn't do at Liverpool. They attached themselves to the two central midfielders. When I saw Xhaka and Ramsey in this team today, I thought they would get bulldozed in midfield, however, Iwobi tucked in, making Chelsea go wide and Welbeck did the same on the other side.

He added: "When you think about Ray Parlour and the job he did for Arsenal over the years of course there would have been more talented players than him but he put in the hard work and showed the right attitude.

"In big matches at Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson went with Ji-sung Park and Darren Fletcher, why? Because they were the most talented players at the club? No, but because they needed to show discipline and respect for the opposition.

"Wenger chose a hard-working attitude over talent. They got into the shape and did the job that we've been demanding from them over the last few years.
former United defender said: "It's not difficult and ultimately that video should go to Ozil and Sanchez because they do need to come back in, but if they are not going to do the job required, sit in the stands and let two players with less talent do the job you need to do in a big match.

Yeah yeah yeah. Against Chelsea in the FA Cup when Ozil played and Ramsey stayed disciplined in his play, we lost to Chelsea. So he has a point.

Wow
And talking statistically we play 3 times with Ozil, won 2 lost 1. The 2 times we played without Ozil we drew in 90 minutes. That's 6 points, 6 goals for and 4 against assuming 3 points are awarded for the FA Cup victory. Now contrast that with just 2 points in 90 minutes if points are awarded for the Community Shield. Don't know about you but i will take the 6 points over the 2 points.
Go figure.
