Judas? Wetin you go call Luis Figo if Giroud na Judas? You go crown Figo Full blown Devil then abi?

He could soon be called Judas by Arsenal fans.
You've seen the way some Arsenal fans here behave especially the ones quick to give names. Why would you ever listen to them? :rotf:

Good luck with him, play to his strengths (you guys already cross the ball well and play decent one touch football so I think you do) and he'll be your starter this season and maybe next season. Try to play like he's a speedster and wahala dey await una.

Giroud will deliver for chelsea, he always delivers. Don't mind fickle Arsenal fans that love scapegoats. I wish the big OG the best.

The 'Donkey'. Arsenal bought a microwave and some fans complained that it couldn't fry their eggs. Of course, na yeye pesin dey expect that kain expectation :rotf:

Ceteris paribus, he will bloom at chelsea...they have some WICKED ball crossers, they also have some guys who can play nifty one twos around the 18. There's a reason they're looking for someone to backup (and honestly replace) Morata.

Welcome to Giroud but I have my reservations about this move. Conte cannot come out to claim that CFC don't back him in the transfer market. Conte has forced CFC to pay close to 20MP on a 31 yr old who will be a back up striker. What makes me more uncomfortable is that CFC has picked up a striker that plays similarly to Morata but slower and maybe stronger. Giroud does not bring a plan B off the bench. Just come on to do what Morata does but hopefully better relative to form. Giroud won't help the pressing game either. I don't see him bringing anything dynamic to the attack.

Nothing against Giroud, but I don't think he was the striker CFC needed. Hope I am proven wrong.

And plati, Only 1 CFC player crosses the ball well - Azpi. Rest are thrash!! For crying out loud, the set piece deliveries suck!! So waiting to see how he will benefit from crosses when delivery sans one player is consistently poor.

Abeg calm down. Only Azpi crosses the ball well and from a particular position on the pitch. Moses does not put in good crosses. Zappacosta is hit and miss. Set piece delivery is also trash... CFC will have to improve on their crosses to utilize Giroud

This my brother, analyzer, calm down. Given the relative inexperience of all the strikers on the club's books, they needed a veteran who's ready to hit the ground ... running ... forget the 'running' part but the emphasis was placed on a who is player ready to instantly contribute. Sadly, Bats isn't ready now and the next guy is a kid who is struggling at relegation contending Swansea. Something had to give and I am relieved that it was neither Carroll nor Crouch :taunt:

That's one player more than Arsenal. Zappa can put in some zingers. Alonso too. Willian too. Sure they're not consistent but it's far better than anything Arsenal gave Giroud.

Batshuayi was different from Morata, what did he give you guys? Even Morata, has he met the expectations you had?

You are hardly wrong WRT Chelsea. And these are my reservations too with getting Giroud and shipping Batshuayi away. Chelsea does not have the Wing Backs that cross the ball well.

Unless Conte has an ace up his sleeves that we haven't seen yet.

There's more than enough players that can cross at CFC as Platinum mentioned in his last post. Frankly, I'm not worried about the crossing. The primary task is the link-up/ hold up role and overall awareness of options around him. If he gets that down pat, everything else will mostly work out. Morata has all the talent in the world but without the physical strength to hold up play without flopping to the turf at each contact, it's diminished his effectiveness and eventually his confidence. Hopefully, the presence of Giroud will take away some pressure from him and allow him to strengthen up off-field as well.
