Neymar in Paris
According to sources, Neymar has agreed to terms with PSG for some astronomical numbers. Source: espnfc.com
In addition to massive wages, he is also getting lots of $$$ from business ventures with the wealthy owners.
Alexis Sanchez is next on the radar of the billionaires from Qatar.
Athletes want to get paid ... serious $$$. They deserve it. This is a game that has made lots of people extremely wealthy ... it is about time that players get seriously paid, not just the owners.
Good luck in Paris ...

Re: Neymar in Paris
I'm loving it. I love it the same way I loved when Man City broke up the cozy cartel and give it to the so called big clubs the same way they've been giving it to the smaller clubs by poaching their talent. These clubs need to get a taste of their own medicine.
For a club like PSG to take a player like Neymar at his prime from Barcelona is a real coup. With the rise of PSG and Milan, the CL will get pretty interesting.

TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED...
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding...hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe

Re: Neymar in Paris
222 million Euros may be too much for even Barca to turn down. BTW Barca just signed a Honduran player called Anthony Lozano who is quite interesting. Anyway we'll see how it all pans our

Re: Neymar in Paris
Gargantuan wasteof money, assuming the deal goes through. Rather than raid Monaco or either snatch that worth snatching from Beloved, they're more interested in flashing their phallus in a meat market. Neymar won't win them the Champions League alone, wasn't that what Zlatan, Cavani and Co were supposed to have delivered? Have they not learnt, how Neymars did Monaco have enroute to embarrassing them last season? One can only hope, for the sake of thebeautiful game that is long since sullied, Barca dont entertain this insanity. If Neymar signs for that price, the ramifications for the marketplace are massive, malignant. Wilshere 80 million, Harry Kane 100 million, Dele Alli 150. Madness is on the verge of going a whole lot of crazy.
And then there's Financial Fair Play the Godsend that was to level the field and the insanity before it became, according to resident economists. Nonsense.

Re: Neymar in Paris
TBH its crazy money. However, no Monaco player is comparable to Neymar. A signing like this is about business and not just what happens on the field. Marketing potential of Neymar is by far greater than many other players. Think shirts/merchandise sold, think gate receipts, think tv deals. My question is will the financial controlling body in France give the go ahead?Coach wrote:Gargantuan wasteof money, assuming the deal goes through. The difficulties of statistical thinking describes a puzzling limitation of our mind: our excessive confidence in what we believe we know, and our apparent inability to acknowledge the full extent of our ignorance and the uncertainty of the world we live in. Re: Neymar in Paris
^absolutely, but if PSG believe they're a Neymar away from conquering Europe, they're massively mistaken. This is not so much about tilting the libra as it is about flopping out a 12 incher in the House of the Rising Sun. Big deal, everyone's getting f*cked. The Balon d'Or argument is equally nonsense, Ronaldo and Messi will continue posting ridiculous numbers till the curtain's called. When last did a player from Ligue 1 collect it? Nonsense.
Re: Neymar in Paris
How will PSG pass financial fair play rules if they buy Neymar for such a crazy amount.

How can Neymar be in New York and Paris at the same time.

No comment from me.
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT
Re: Neymar in Paris
@Benteke, Cyberia's own wayo economists claimed FFP would add an inch to Arsenal's appendage, crowning them Johnny Big Cock on campus. As was argued from day dot, financial fairplay was no more than classist capitalism, a ploy aimed a creating a cohort of super clubs and ensuring their stay within the status quo by preventing upward mobility for all others. Easily circumvented by the big boys, it's no more than a gimmick, a pile of sh*t on paper that scares the little leagues into modesty, surrendering talents prematurely and giving in to big business.
For some, it will take the Neymar deal for them to believe they'd drawn lips around their a*shole and were talking sh*t back then.

If the deal goes ahead as seems likely then full credit to Neymar. I admire his ambition for not wanting to remain under Messi's shadow. Lesser players would have stayed put.

I love how you ascribe stupidity to PSG and then confirm a position they probably don't hold is stupid.Coach wrote:^absolutely, but if PSG believe they're a Neymar away from conquering Europe, they're massively mistaken. Let me turn your framing style back on you, "If Coach thinks PSG is not better by adding Neymar and thus closer to their overall goal of trying to winthe CL, then Coach is massively Mistaken.
See how easy to do that. Love what PSG is doing. The traditionalist are quaking quakingin their boots . Barca tried to poach Verrati. PSG gets pissed. Smacks Barca interest back, and as punishment intends to take Barca's future too.And if that doesn't work, they'll come back next year and out bid them for the best defender. This is what happens when you have the money. FU deals are within your power.
Personally, I'd have backed a Neymar included PSG to beat both Barca and Juventuss last year. Most fair minded people would have given a Neymar inclusive PSG a fighting chance against anyone last year. So yes, PSG believes its closer with Neymar than without.
FFS, any club in Europe is closer with Neymar than without.
