No, it wouldn't have. He probably would have saved the first goal, which BTW was a well taken free kick. The Jamaicans lost because they were playing schoolboy football. They did not play like they wanted to win the game. The US controlled every aspect of the game and the Jamaicans were lucky the score wasn't worse than it ended.

Nigeria is not afraid to go to South Africa to win the Afcon. Unlike the yanks. They play on home soil backed by home crowd, playing in small sized pitches. Why wouldn't they win their own tournament. What a charade.

For convenience those vote for the USA to host, as a centralized place with ready amenities they throw down better party.
