SE players, current Leagues and the WorldCup - updated

Post by chief nfachairman »

So thought i saved this as a draft but seems like it got posted. So i just finished it up

Again, I believe for the SE to make the WC semis or actually win it, we need to have 90% of our players Playing in TOp Leagues regularly, or those playing in Tier 2/ 3 Leagues should either be one of the best (Onyekuru/ Olarewanju) or one of the Best in their positions (Esiti).

While SE seems to be hot in the Attack to Attacking mid positions, we get weaker in the CM and defensive positions except DM. SE transfers have been quite crappy this season.

Players in red are either not having a look in under Rohr or never been invited but are all staking a strong claim for invitation.

ATTACK
iheanacho - England: Should get regular playing time in Leiceister. His time to make a huge statement in the EPL. Top player
http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/08/09/we ... -training/
kayode - Austria: Was highest goalscorer and voted best player in Austrian League. Could move to a better league soon and prove he is what he really is. Top player in the making.
http://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/austria- ... y7xix5ekas
Isaac Success - England: Mad player limited by injury. If he can stay fit, he would be top 5 players in the EPL. Potential Top Player
Osimhen - Germany: Came in as sub in the last 2 games for wolfsburg last season. Played alot in pre-season, and could end up been a starter during the course of the season. Top Bundesliga player in the Making
https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/o ... sburg-win/
http://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/victor-o ... 3gzi85ot7h
EMenike - Greece: Strong and experienced. Probably playing his last season in Europe. If he could be TOp 3 highest goalscorer in Greece like Ideye (before China Move), he should be called up to the SE. Good stop gap until the young ones come thru.
Dennis Bonaventure - Belgium: Hot already. Made team of the week in Belgium. Should be called up if he maintains this trend by mid-season. Would be playing in the CL this season. Potential Top Player.

http://scorenigeria.com.ng/2017/08/01/b ... n-belgium/

Other mentions:
Paul Onuachi - Denmark: 3rd highest Goalscorer last season. If he can make Top 2 by MId-season, he deserves a callup/
Nwakaeme - Isreal: TOp 5 highest goalscorer in the poor Isreali league. THis season he is doing his thing in the CL. If he can be the highest goalscorer in Isreal and does he thing in the CL or Europa, deserves a call.
Sadiq Umar - Italy: Very good pre-season. http://scorenigeria.com.ng/2017/07/15/s ... ly-winner/
SImy Nwankwo: Played 20 games for Scrotom in the Seria A last season and scored 3 goals.

RIGHT ATTACK/WING
Moses - England: Top player.
Musa - England: Should win a starting shirt in Leicester and would be fantastic backup to Moses and support striker role. Dude got WC experience. Potential Top player
Samuel Kalu - Belgium: Was hot last season. Extremely skillful player that should be able to end up as Top 3 right wingers in Belgium this term. On several websites, he was listed as 3rd fastest risers in Belgian league with Onyekuru been number 2. If he does, then SE would be too hot on that side of the attack. Top player in the making
http://www.scisports.com/news/2017/top- ... pro-league

LEFT ATTACK
Simon - Belgium: Was One of Gents best players. Can we say he was top 5 players or left winger in the League? not sure.
Onyekuru - Belgium: Hot! Joint highest goalscorer in Belgian eague last season. Already made team of the week in Anderlecht and would be playing champions league. WIth henry on the left and moses on the right, WAHALA! TOp Player
http://www.scisports.com/news/2017/top- ... pro-league

ATTACKING MIDFIELD
Iwobi - England: Dude is likely going to be a starter this term for Arsenal. Sanchez has said he would be a key player in Arsenal. TOp player. http://metro.co.uk/2017/06/09/alexis-sa ... l-6698375/
Etebo - Portugal: Can also play in the Central midfield, wings and attack. Was one of the most influential players for Fereinse last season. played 28 games and scored 3 goals. Loads of speculated interest from several clubs. THis could be his season in the Portuguese league. Potential Top Player.

CENTRAL MIDFIELDER
Mikel - china: You cant buy his calm, commanding presence and experience in Balogun market. TOp Player
Onazi - ?: Where is this dude. We hear he almost ended his contract with Trabzonspor. Didnt light up the Turkish league last season. Very experienced player but ..... Kashimawo
John Ogu - Israel: Nominated best top 5 players in poor Isreali league. BUt he has been steady in the Europa league and currently involved in the CL. Good player to have. Brings alot of physicality to the SE.
http://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/4110/afr ... gue-awards

DEFENSIVE MIDFIELD
Ndidi - England: Won Leicester's best young player award last season and he played only half a season for them. Was speculated to be on Morinho's radar to handle the DM position for Man U. Watch out for Ndidi, the sky is even to low to be his limit. Top Player
Agu - Turkey: Moved to a lower league Turkey from the Portuguese League. Is this a step down? I guess so. Hopefully this makes way for Esiti.
Agbo - Belgium: Agbo moved from the best league in the world to a second tier league. Hope he uses this as a stepping stone to bigger things. for now, the jury is out on him
Esiti - Belgium: Iron bender. Was one of the best DMs in the Belgian league. Did well to get a look in from PSG and Dortmund. Potential Top player
http://www.brila.net/report-anderson-es ... nterested/

CENTRAL DEFENCE
Balogun - GErmany: Experienced and intelligent player. His team conceded the least goals in Germany 2 seasons back. Steady and reliable. If he teams up with a world class CD, the SE defense would be almost impenetrable. Very Good player.
Awaziem - Nantes: If dude ties down a regular shirt at Nantes, i think he would go on to do big things. Kashimawo
EKong - Turkey: Went from the top 3 teams in Belgium that would be playing in atleast the Europa to Bursaspor which ended up 4th from bottom in the TUrkish league. I dont know what to make of this guy. Lets hope he ends up been the best defender in Turkey.
Omeruo - ?: GUY seems to be fading out. Dumped by every chelsea coach and now relegated to the U19. Speculations for him are from low TUrkish teams. Its either he bounces back from this or fades here on.

RIGHT BACK
AIna - England2: MOved to HULL!! CHampionship!! Please please please, he should set that league on fire, move to an EPL team by mid-seasson before we start to talk about him getting an SE shirt. At best, we can use him to prosecute our WC and ANC qualifers.
Shehu- Cyprus: Dude is still in ShytPrus league. For now, a just there player
Ebuehi - Holland: Played regularly for his Div1 team. Mad ball control, inteliigence and well cultured foot. Strong on the attach but physically a push over. Jury still out on him

LEFT BACK
Elderson - Turkey: Has played more on the bench than on the field in his entire career. Experience we still need in the SE though even if on the bench (something he has excelled at in his career)
moroof - Egypt: Plays for Africa's biggest club and is a regular. Dassol

GOAL KEEPER
Olodumare: We really do need him badly. Scouted by Emir Kongi. Already, Enyeama has proven that he is done with Naija. HE even put the senate President on "is coming" recently.

Abdul Ajagun in MF. He played lot in the Dutch 1st division last season and will now be playing in the Belgian first division. Goal scoring, "made-for-Nigeria" Midfielder, with threshold speed that nicely adapts to Nigeria's power, speed and guile trademark.

Check him out. - https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... dul+Ajagun

You forgot
Finidi - Ajax
Ikpeba - Monaco
Amuneke -lisbon/ Barcelona
Babayaro - Chelsea

We getting there. Remember it was after 94 WC and 96 olympics that this players started breaking into the bigger teams. We currently have
Moses - Chelsea
Iwobi - Arsenal
Onyekuru - Anderlecht
Iheanacho - Leicester
Ndidi - Leicester
Musa - Leicester

We have about 5 more players that could just pop into the big teams by mid/ next season. E.g Sadiq Umar currently in ROma.

Leicester today is the same level Everton was in the mid 90s
