TOp Nigerian Players this Past week - WEEK 3

Post by chief nfachairman »

WEEK 3

NOTE:
1. Majority of Rohr's team list didnt make it to the list this week and have hardly made it. They were either not started, benched, not listed at all or had very average games. Some are Nacho, Ahmed musa, Ighodalo, Mikel (experience counts tho), iwobi, aaron samual, Mikel Agu, all the defenders and keepers etc
2. NIgeria's players on Rohr's list that have also been consistent on this list (based on performance and regular play) and should start Vs. Cameroun are:
*Victor Moses, Simon Moses,Etebo, Ndidi (been slightly above average though). Awaziem would have made the list but for his red card in the last weekend.
*those that have match consistency even if theyve played avaerage games in Tier 2/3 leagues + China are Elderson, Troost, Balogun, Ebuehi, Agu, Ogu, Nwaekeme, ola aina, shehu, Mikel, Ighalo
3. Defense is still a very worrisome area. Awaziem is observing match ban, Troost was average in his last game in turkey, Balogun benched, Elderson average or above average in Turkey, we still relying on Olodumare in Goal.
4. Some of NIgeria's best and consistent players so far this season are not in the team. They are: Dessers, Awoniyi, Olayinka, Onyekuru, Joel Obi

Striker:
*Dessers did not start this weekend.

Mention:
*Taiwo Awoniyi - Belgium: Good game for his team

Right attack/ Support Striker:
1. Victor Moses - England: Had a good game. picked up a yellow.
2. Aminu Umar - Turkey: Played very well and was one of the top3 players for this team.

Left Attack/ Support Striker:
1. Peter Olayinka - Belgium: Had a very good game. Also scored a goal. http://www.flashscore.com/match/2L0Zo4oM/#video
2. Simon Moses - Belgium: Had a very good game this weekend against anderlecht.

Mention:
1. Onyekuru - Had a good game for Anderlecht. Seems to be settling in.

Attacking Midfield:
1. Etebo - Portugal: one of the top 3 players this weekend for Fereinse

Central Midfield:
1.Joel Obi - Italy: Had a very good game, scored and was MOTM
http://www.fullmatchesandshows.com/2017 ... hlights-3/

Defensive Midfield:
1. Ndidi - EPL: Put in a good full 90mins shift.
2. Azubuike Okechukwu - Turkey: Had a very very good match this weekend.

Mention:
Esiti - Belgium: Had a good game against anderlecht but didnt make it on this list due to points and standard of league (Tier 2)

*MIkel Agu - very average game in Turkey

Central Defense 1:
*Balogun benched again

Central Defense 2:
*Troost-ekong - Very average game in Turkey

Right Back:
*Ebuehi had a very average game.

Left Back:
*Elderson (turkey) played a very very average game

GOALKEEPER
*We might have to drop criteria for GKs and lower standards.
*Alampasu made the bench for his clubs last game.

1. Cyril Dessers- Holland: Banged in another goal and played a good match.
2. Anthony Nweakeme: Scored a belter in the champions League qualifier.Voted best player in the Isreali league last season (these are the type of tier 3 league players SE should be inviting). MAkes it to this spot becuase his Goal was in the CL.

*Taiwo Awoniyi - Belgium: Very good game for his team

Right attack/ Support Striker:
1. Victor Moses - England: One of the Top 3 chelsea players in their game against Spurs.

Left Attack/ Support Striker:
1. Peter Olayinka - Belgium: MOTM. Scored a goal, had an assist and won a penalty for his team that was converted vs Uche Agbo's Standard Liege. GUess who brought him down? LOOL. If i started this in week 1, would have also made the team based on his 3 assist for his team in their first official game.

Attacking Midfield:
1. Etebo - Portugal: Banged in a header on monday and came close to scoring another one. HAd a very good game and was one of the top 3 players on the field yesterday.

*Mathew Ifeanyi - Norway: Had a good game and scored a goal (Tier 3 league).

Defensive Midfield:
1. Ndidi - EPL: Put in a good full 90mins shift.

Mention:
*MIkel Agu - Turkey: Played good game in turkey (Tier 2 league)

Central Defense 1:
*Balogun benched

Central Defense 2:
*Red card for Awaziem in the 32nd min.

Mention:
*Troost-ekong - Turkey: played a good game in Turkey but not good enough to make the list.

Right Back:
*Ebuehi had an above average game.

Left Back:
*While Elderson (turkey) played a good game but not good enough to make this list.
*Nura Abdullai made the bench this weekend and has played regularly in Pre-season for Roma. He wasnt also loaned out with all these meaning he is an integral part of the first team. Watch out for this Kid soon.

GOALKEEPER
*We might have to drop criteria for GKs and lower standards.
*Alampasu made the bench for his clubs last game.

Tier 1 - 6.5
Tier 2 - 7.3
Tier 3 - 7.8

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
THis are the Top Nigerian Players (2 per position) this past week (tuesday to MOnday 14th Aug). I assume we are in Week 3 of the football season.

I determine them using Leagues, performance, goals etc. So if Kelechi plays a full match and puts in a good performance, and Taiwo Awoniyi scores a goal in Belgium (tier 2 League) while Onuachi scores a brace in Denmark (tier 3); Taiwo and kelechi would make top 2 for that position.

I used player ratings, videos and other publications to compile these.

I would not focus on division 2 players like Onazi and co.

Striker:
1. Cyril Dessers- Holland: Pledged his allegiance to Nigeria. Banged 2 goals against Ebuehi's Den haag (Ebeuhi lost possession twice that led to Uthrects goals).
2. Taiwo Awoniyi - Belgium: Banged in a goal for his new team in Belgium

Mention:
Onuachi - Denmark(Tier 3 league): Banged 2 goals this weekend.

Right attack/ Support Striker:
1. Samuel Kalu - Belgium: scored a goal and made team the of the week. http://scorenigeria.com.ng/2017/08/14/s ... -the-week/

*Kele had a so-so game and bros Musa was told to watch the match in the comfort of his new wife. Moses is observing a match ban.

Left Attack/ Support Striker:
1.Dennis Bonaventure - Belgium: Played against Peter Olayinka and pumped in a goal again. Made team of the week last week.
2. Peter Olayinka - Belgium: Was hot this weekend. Displayed nice skill that led to a goal. Remember, he made Team of the week, last week providing 3 assists.

*Onyekuru didnt had a quite average game and Simon had a good game on the bench.

Attacking Midfield:
1. Etebo - Portugal: Wearing the number 10 jersey for his club, played for 90mins winnng many freekicks for his team.

*Iwobi played on the bench this weekend.

Central Midfield
*Onazi still unavailable.
*No games yet in Isreal although Ogu has had very impressive CL qualification so far.

Defensive Midfield:
1. Ndidi - EPL: Put in a good full 90mins shift.

*Agbo and Agu did nothing special while Esiti rode the pine.

Central Defense 1:
1. Chi Awaziem - Lique 1 France: Had a great game and even had the fans list him as man of the match. http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/08/15/ch ... marseille/

*Very average game by Troost-ekong, Agu and the whole Bursaspor team.

Central Defense 2:
*Bundesliga season hasnt commenced.
*Omeruo is still lost somewhere.

Right Back:
*Ebuehi was pretty ordinary in the game getting dispossessed twice that ked to goals. Seems he played more as a DM.
*Cant even find anyting out there to rate Shehu. lool

Left Back:
*While Elderson (turkey) played the full match, not enough info to rate how he performed.

Goal Keeper:
Olodumare: He is always ontop

*Onyekuru didnt had a quite average game and Simon had a good game on the bench.
Onyekuru was a second-half sub, but picked up the team...
I believe he is getting over a knock, which limited him to one preseason game.

Awaziem actually played at RB. He played quite well but lost his man on Marseilles' late goal...
Troost-Ekong had a decent game including a goal-line clearance, while Leon Balogun rode the pine for the DFB Cup game.

As I previously noted, Ebuehi has defensive positioning issues...
That's why sometimes he appears to be playing DM. At this point, just a decent RB.

That's a pretty severe positional issue. From RB to DM...

:bump: :bump: I dont post on Chinese or Isreali league. Nwaekaeme made it here today based on his exploits in his last champions league game.

Belgium is a Tier 2 league and for any belgium based player to make it, they must have an average player rating of 7.3 to make it on the list.

I said "he played a good game" but not enough to make the list. i saw a large chunk of the game and the average ratings he had was 7.1. For Tier 2 league players, they have to get an average rating of 7.3 to make the list and 7.8 for Tier 3 (Norway, etc).

Did u watch Simon Moses vs Anderlecht or are u just going by random ratings? The simon that I watched v Anderlecht was useless to say the least. His usage of the ball was pathetic, couldn't get a decent cross in and refused to help the defense.

How come this feckless inept buffoon has refused to invite our best players? Is he really serious to qualify SE for Russia?Honestly I want to know his personal vendetta against Onyekuru..

You must have missed the crossed Daddy Moses delivered to one his forward who wasted the chance to score during the game. Daddy was on the ball a lot in the second half and was double teamed as was seen as the main threat. An honest description of his performance was that he played well.

I was hoping for something great from the latest discovery Mr Top scorer last season but he only had one shot on goal the whole game which brought a great save from the goalkeeper ........ But he needs to do a lot more that have one shot on goal for the whole game....... For now some people need to pipe down which the continued criticism of the team selection.
