Ghanaian Strikers in High-Demand

Post by Rawlings »

1. Brighton agree £12m deal with Swiss outfit Zurich to sign Ghanaian international Raphael Dwamena
2. West Ham, West Brom and Burnley chase £12m Lorient and Ghana forward Abdul Majeed Waris

Brighton have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Zurich to sign Raphael Dwamena, with the fee believed to be around £12m.

The transfer of the 21-year-old is subject to a work permit and international clearance.

The Ghanaian striker has agreed personal terms with Chris Hughton's side and is now awaiting clearance to travel to the UK to complete his medical.
Dwamena has enjoyed a remarkable career rise in just six months after joining Zurich from Red Bull Salzburg in January, scoring 12 goals in 18 matches.
Newly-promoted Premier League side Brighton have failed to score in their opening two top flight matches, losing 2-0 to both Manchester City and Leicester and Hughton will be hoping his frontline can get going quickly.

Decent forward, was World Soccer's one to watch around the time of the African World Cup. A talented 18 year old with a bag full of goals to his name...will be interesting to see how he's pushed on. No better stage for it.

West Ham, West Bromwich Albion and Burnley are showing keen interest in Lorient forward Abdul Majeed Waris.
The pacy Ghana international is rated at £12m by Lorient and the Premier League trio have all made enquiries in the past week.

Ghana and striker in one sentence?

Tottenham transfer report: Spurs make enquiry for £14m-rated Sassuolo midfielder Alfred Duncan
Image

Tottenham and Inter Milan are ready to battle for promising Sassuolo midfielder Alfred Duncan, according to reports.

Mauricio Pochettino is eyeing last-minute additions to bolster his Spurs squad and Duncan is thought to be firmly on the north Londoners' radar.

According to Tutto Mercato, both Tottenham and Inter have enquired about the Ghana international, with Sassuolo's valuation of the player set at £14m.

Duncan, 24, started his career in the youth ranks at Inter, but struggled to establish himself in the first team and was loaned to Livorno, before another loan at Sampdoria preceded a permanent switch.

He joined Sassuolo in 2015 and has emerged as one of the brightest young prospects in Serie A, with a number of European clubs keeping close tabs on him.

Inter have continued to monitor his progress and are now exploring the possibility of taking him back to the San Siro.

Tottenham though are lurking with intent and are eyeing a deal for Duncan before the window slams shut at the end of the month.
