Where the Ighalo, Simon, Mikel haters ?
1. Where the Ighalo haters ?
I have long defended Ighalo on this forum.
He today showed why he is our best centre forward. Getting 2 CB's booked and holding off the defender to open up scoring. He is much better than Iheanacho as a lone striker.
There are too many Ighalo haters on this forum who wanted to drive the man from SE only for junks like Nwakaeme. Where are they now ? You do not succeed in the EPL like he did if you dont have talent.
2. Where the Simon haters ?
See his assist for Moses goal when many others would have tried to blast a shot on goal. He played well today, and he was our best attacking threat vs South Africa.
He is and always has been better than ahmed Musa.
3. Where Mikel haters ? Who say that etebo or Ndidi can do what he does , and that he is not needed.
No Mikel. No Nigeria. PERIOD.
Looks like a lot of you need to eat a big massive humble pie.

Are you going to give Rohr some credit Vancity eagle as you made some unpleasant remarks about the man before this game.

Simon is not SE quality, the SE beat Cameroon with 10 men, simple and plain, this is the same way folks were clamoring for junks like babatundemessi cos he played in a game that SE won, if you don't know talent I can't help u

Rohr is the best coach Nigeria has had in a long long time.
I have had my disagreements with him, but overall his appointment has been spot on.
With the players he chose to call up, he chose the best possible lineup and the one I would have made.
The only difference in my lineup was Simon for Iheanacho, but I think Rohr's decision was better. Simon adds mobility and is dangerous on the flanks.
Top marks to Rohr for putting Ighalo up top and benching Nacho. I know many CE were getting their daggers ready at that move, but Ighalo has proven his critics wrong, and good work by Rohr.
Nigerias best win in Africa perhaps since I was born.

Did you not see Simon's composure in the box and to assist Moses' goal.9jaMan wrote:vancity eagle wrote:1. Where the Ighalo haters ?

He also found Moses with another brilliant cross in the first half. it could have been 2 assists.
you are letting your bias cloud your judgement. Simon played well today.
Re: Where the Ighalo, Simon, Mikel haters ?
we still need Joel Obi, he should definitely be in the world cup list when we qualify.
Re: Where the Ighalo, Simon, Mikel haters ?
Simon is a great player when he uses his brain.

Ok he can kick a ball, but that does not make him SE quality, even the likes of babatundemessi and yayagabriel completed some exquisite dribbles while playing for SE, but overall we have better players and Simon is not quality, we can and should do better, options like onyekuru, imoh, iwobi, etc, Simon has no place in SE 23

We have been brainwashed by the Premier League that it's the best in the world. Nonsense. It's the best brand
Roy Keane: ITV 02/25/14
He says that we are currently "brainwashed" into believing that the Premier League is the best competition in the world, and that we are now a long way off dominating the Champions League again.
Gary Neville: Mirror: 12/23/14
I think Spain’s by far the best league.

Nigeria won the ANC in 2013. So presumably you were born after that if today's win is the best since you were born....vancity eagle wrote:The YeyeMan wrote:You were born in 2014?vancity eagle wrote:Nigerias best win in Africa perhaps since I was born.

Excellent news!!
So he is cleared to play on Monday.
Rohr can now have an added set of variables for Hugo Broos to think about.
