Neither do they know that I was born and bred in Lagos, speak and read Yoruba better than Ibibio, and have a closer relationship to the Yoruba than my father's people. I am proud of my heritage and Nigerian-ness, and have had many friends, peers and influences from the across Nigeria. I cannot afford to view any Nigerian issue from the prism of tribe or state, except to defend the just and uphold equality. Many have tried it previously and I have not budged.
