I never understood why many of you continue to pillory Echiejile. Maybe it's the left back position. It's the same way Babayaro was abused on this forum . Then it was Taye Taiwo, then Udeze. The fact that Echiejile has started for Nigeria in the same position under 4 different coaches should tell you something. One thing no one can accuse Rohr of since taking over the team is starting any player on sentiment. The guy is starting because he is the best we have at that position, period.

The best we have in that position isn't that good. The fact he's started under several coaches tells you about the lack of quality we have in that position.

Or it tells that he is actually better than internet coaches think he is. Is there lack of depth at his position at his club also?

There was better talent so they sold him on. Hence why he now plays for some Turkish club you you're not able to name.

you are talking rubbish, I am still trying to figure out why the likes of yeyeman, demunk etc keeps going on and on about Uwa..I have watched uwa 2ce this season and the guy has been very impressive, he also had a very good game vs Les lions 2ce... yes Bassong will give many full backs trouble..yall go on and on as if we have some Roberto Carlos sitting in some club in Europe.. hush and hope the guys remains fit.. he missed the last worldcup....and where is the guy who replaced him playing today?

Oga I have watched him play live in his club and the national team, he is not that good, but did well in both games.
