Congrats to the lad.
Nigeria's talent pool seems to be getting larger, which is a good news story

That is all it is for now. And interestingly, they all seem to be playing that central striker role!
Alhassan Ibrahim
Sadiq Umar
Victor Osimhen
Taiwo Awoniyi
Tammy Abraham*
Then there is the group of Onyekuru, Bonaventure and Sarenren competing in slightly different attacking roles.
I wish we had emerging defensive talent in similar numbers...

Bro, Alhassan is not a striker in any way, he likes to involve others in his play more of a midfielder/support striker

Re: Alhassan Ibrahim scored his first goal
Peter Olayinka needs to be included in the mix, if you think of Onyekuru and Bonaventure.
Also Peter Onuachu shouldn't be excluded.

Wydad Casablanca rejects Chikatara's transfer request
Chisom Elvis Chikatara (L) of Wydad Casablanca vies for the ball with Maroof Isuf (R) of Zamalek during the African Champions League (CAF) semi-final leg soccer match between Zamalek and Wydad Casablanca at Moulay Abd
Moroccan Botola league club Wydad Casablanca have rejected a transfer request from Nigerian import, Chisom Chikatara.
The forward who was the star of the Nigerian team at the 2016 CHAN in Rwanda, where he netted four goals in three games for the home based Eagles, joined Wydad at the conclusion of the tournament from Abia Warriors for a fee believed to be in the region of $450,000.
Chikatara immediately settled into the team, getting registered for both league and CAF Champions League assignments, lighting up both tournaments with goals.

However, his fortunes changed following an injury he sustained -- which he has since recovered from and the departure of legendary Welsh coach, John Toshack, the manager who signed him.
Despite returning to full fitness, the forward hasn't gotten much game time at the club and this has forced his representatives to voice out their concern.
"We have a transfer request for Chikatara to quick Wydad Casablanca, but they turned it down," the players representative Johnny Precious Ogbah informed scorenigeria.com.ng
"There are still a lot of interests in the player, who needs to be playing regularly to move to the next level of his career."

One said absolutely not a striker, one said maybe a support Striker. I am a bit confused by your statement bro. Can you clarify?

If you watch him while he was in the U17s, U21s and Awka united he was played as a right side of midfield or behind the striker. What i mean is that he likes to get involved by around the midfield area. He is not an Igahlo type of player.
