Rohr confirms that Algeria game will be for new faces

Post by Ayo Akinfe »

Watford Isacc Success is not in the running to be considered for Nigeria’s upcoming World Cup 2018 Qualifiers against Algeria despite coach Gernot Rohr confirming he will try new players in the dead rubber tie.

Manager of Watford Marco Silva confirmed Success is out for the long term after the forward underwent surgery in Barcelona, despite the forward claiming he is few days away from returning back to training.

Rohr is a big admirer of the abilities of the 21 year old especially after his performance in a friendly game in London against Senegal, where he came on to good effect to help Nigeria draw 1-1 against the Teranga Lions.

The injury now means he won’t be among the new players coach Rohr will be trying against Cameroon, as the manager has once again confirmed his intentions to call new players.

Speaking during a television Sports programme monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com, Rohr said ” Of course we are not planning to lose the game against Algeria but we are already preparing for the World Cup.

Friendlies are man't to test new players. Rohr understands this concept.

-----------------------------Uzoho or Alampasu-------------------------------

Ebuehi-------------Awaziem----------------Omeruo----------------------Aina-----

-----------------------Agu-------------------------Ogu----------------------

--------------------------------------Etebo-----------------------------------

Iwobi-------------------------------------------------------------------Onyekuru----

----------------------------------------Iheanacho------------------------------------
Winners do it the right way.

Lol this is not a friendly, although it is a dead rubber.

Match comes with a higher FIFA coefficient of memory serves me right.

Will be handy for FIFA rankings. We can test, but we should still win.
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

No need to play Omeruo. We need to try out other defenders. I particularly want to see Felix Udokhai.

Against Cameroon? I hope that is a "typo."
