NFF President: Rohr Would Be Fielding Super Eagles Best XI V
I like this.
*With Moses not playing, his backup can either play himself to Russia or not make the teamlist for the next game.
*Nwakaeme or Kelechi can use this game to relegate Ighalo to the bench and possibly out of the team
*Ola Aina can show us that we have finally gotten a very onpoint LB after 6yrs of average but comitted Elderson
*Awaziems game to show that SA game was just a bad day in the box office.

Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick has hinted that manager Gernot Rohr will start the World Cup qualifier against Algeria on November 10 with his best players.
Although the Super Eagles have already picked the only ticket from group B of the African qualifying series, following the defeat of Zambia in Uyo on 7th October, the country’s football –ruling organ says it is taking the match as a serious matter.
''The temptation is there to rest on oars because we have already qualified. But we would not do that. I am happy the technical crew led by the Technical Adviser has already made it known they would be fielding Nigeria’s best squad on the day,'' NFF President Amaju Pinnick told thenff.com.
''The Secretariat must quickly finalise all arrangements. The match in Constantine must be seen as a FIFA World Cup preparation match, just like the one against Argentina in Russia four days later.
''We will go with our best and give our best, to get in the FIFA World Cup mood''.
Assuming the eleven players that stepped out onto the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on October 7 is Nigeria's ideal starting line-up, Rohr cannot count on the services of Odion Ighalo, Victor Moses and Elderson Echiejile, while there are doubts about the fitness of Leon Balogun.

When you are missing:
Ighalo
Balogun
Moses
Echiejile
You have to field your 'best' team giving the players available. They do not want to sound like they are experimenting. Sort of..like they are forced to experiment but at the same time go with best players available so there is no excuse to throw the game away.

Ighalo and Echiejiele are players we need far better replacements for going to Russia.Robotnik wrote:When you are missing:

Moses and Balogun are players we seriously need solid backups for considering that they get injured easily.

Ighalo is perfect for our fast mobile system. Not every one can play our system.
Winners do it the right way.

Ighalo is going to Russia barring injury. PERIOD.
the haters can choke on it. This is a guy who destroyed Cameroon with his lone forward and hold up play. This is a guy who has proven himself at the highest level tormenting EPL defences.
And people think some scrub playing in Israel at the age of 27 has the potential to take his place.
Give me a break.

Are you insinuating the aforementioned duo are better at the role than Ighalo?chief nfachairman wrote:I like this.

our system or no system, I dont feel he is good enough for the SE! by the WC proper, he would either not be in the team or he woudl serve me humble pie with his performance at the WC.ohenhen1 wrote:Ighalo is perfect for our fast mobile system. Not every one can play our system.

Performance against DEAD Cameroun is your yardstick for success. Mschewwwwwwww (Yoruba type).vancity eagle wrote:Ighalo is going to Russia barring injury. PERIOD.

WHich fvcking prove himself in EPL? A player that once he was found out in half of one season in the EPL, he became ineffective. He moved from Iggy scoop to kpako scoop.
He is no better than the guy playing in Isreal. Infact, the guy in Isreal is in a better position than him bcos he's played in the CL and Europa (though i feel anyone playing in Isreal at 28 should not smell SE but he could just be that breakout player).
When Kayode was in Austria, he was highest goalscorer and voted best player. Nwakaeme was one of the top scorers in Isreali league and voted best player in the league. Onuachi was TOp 3 goalscorers in Denmark but Kpako goes to a sh!!!t league and cant even be TOp 3 goal scorers or even TOp 3 best players. Tevez has said the league is so sh!!!!ty that even in 50yrs they'll be nowhere. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/201 ... ming-will/
The season is still young. We have strikers in LaLiga, Serie A even in Denmark. lets see how they perform. And if they perform well, theyll get a callup and I am sure our good friend would be watching the SE somewhere on the island in Lagos else he would be serving me humble pie in Russia with his performances and goals. If he knows whats good for him, he should find his way back to Top European league in January and PERFORM and not just a Div 2 team like he is master off.
Rohr woudl find better players and do the needful!

I am not even that much of a Ighalo fan but his performances towards the end of those WCQ were fantastic (his hold up play, playing with his back to goal, movement into channels). No way Ighalo doesn't make the World Cup team barring injury and he deserves it too!

All our injured players are first team players, this just gives Rohr a good chance to give his bench have a run out. See those who are worthy of a spot to the WC
