BBC

Ozil returns

Arsenal v Huddersfield (19:45 GMT)

Just the one change for Arsenal as Mesut Ozil recovers from illness to take his place in the starting XI. Alex Iwobi, who has been suffering with a dead leg, is the man to make way but is fit enough to take his place on the bench.

The game comes too soon for Theo Walcott. The forward is back in full training after two weeks out with illness but is not included in the Gunners' squad for tonight's game.

Arsenal: Cech, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Bellerin, Xhaka, Ramsey, Kolasinac, Ozil, Sanchez, Lacazette. Subs: Mertesacker, Wilshere, Giroud, Ospina, Iwobi, Welbeck, Coquelin.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: "Mesut Ozil is back. On Monday he was alright.

"The start will be very important. We were strong recently at home and when you look back it is because we started the game well.

"It is funny because I watched Huddersfield against Reading in the play-off final. They showed they had the nerves to deal with that. I watched their game on Sunday as well and we know this will be a difficult game."

BBC on Lacazette's goal

Clinical stuff! A cracking goal from the Arsenal as they take a very early lead. Alexandre Lacazette starts the move off before finding Granit Xhaka, he plays it forwards and Aaron Ramsey helps the ball around the corner with a delicious backheel flick.

It's perfectly into the path of Lacazette and he slots home confidently with his left foot from 15 yards.

I hope Mustafi is fine. It would be very bad if he is sidelined.

Wenger needs to have Bellerin complete 100 crosses after every training session.

Huddersfield threatening to capitalize on Arsenal complacency to grab an equalizer. This attitude from these players is really unacceptable... :boo:

Nauseating half of football after such a bright start ... this club truly has some mental midgets for players

Hopefully the new directors of recruitment can bypass Wenger and get some new blood and get rid of some of these dead woods

The boys need to step up second half,1 goal up is not good with the mentality of our players. We need to be up like 3 to know the game is looking like 3 points secure.
Hopefully better second half.As it stand if Chelsea failed to win and we win they drop to 4th    but its Swansea they might open yash wide as usual no need count on them

If Huddersfield wasn't anything but a Second rate outfit we would have been punished severely for the sheer volume of unforced errors. I guess claiming to have scouted Xhacrap for over 100 times was the final straw that led the club to say goodbye to chief scout Steve Rowley.

35 million for this stiff? Smh

Dude coughs up the ball under the most minimal of pressure and has little to no lateral ability. A true Lorry in the middle :woot: amongst sports cars
