Kayode to Turkey

This boy is tenacious! He’s off to Amiens in Ligue 1 to get regular time so he has a chance, a chance, no matter how little to go to Russian. Certainly can’t question his motivation and self believe. He could very well had stayed in Austria banging goals in, instead he has put it all on the line.

Good luck to Kayode!

According to the report Girona terminated the loan. If so he didn't have much of a choice.

I believe he put in a request to have the loan terminated.
There were 5 Man City players with Girona and non of them were getting any playing time.
Girona Coach seemed to not favor the Man City loanees...

Good for Kayode, though. Hope he gets the playing time he is looking for.

NEWS Unhappy Manchester City forward asks for move to Austrian Bundesliga – report

Manchester City-owned Nigerian international Olarenwaju “Larry” Kayode is eyeing a return to the Austrian Bundesliga after struggling for game time at Girona FC, Spanish newspaper AS reports.

Kayode has reportedly been unhappy with his situation in Catalonia, having featured for just 375 minutes in the first half of the La Liga season.

A £3.5million signing from Austria Wien in the summer of 2017, Kayode appeared a shrewd buy to strengthen Girona and possibly profit on in the long run, after he topped the Austrian Bundesliga scoring charts in 2016-17 with 17 goals in 33 appearances.

Like all but one – that being Pablo Maffeo – of the five Manchester City loanees at partner club Girona though, Kayode has struggled to force his way into Pablo Machín’s plans.

Marlos Moreno has already departed Spain for Brazil and a loan move to Flamengo, while there are doubts over Douglas Luiz’s immediate future.

Even Aleix Garcia, a player highly thought of at the Etihad with first team appearances to his name, having started just five games in the league.

As for 24-year-old Kayode, who still has ambitions of making the Nigeria squad for this year’s World Cup, AS reports that he has asked Manchester City to send him to an unnamed Austrian club, quite possibly the one he came from – Austria Wien.

Turkish side Bursaspor, coached by Paul Le Guen, have also registered an interest in Kayode, who for now must return to training with Girona after overcoming a series of bureaucratic problems that meant he couldn’t re-enter the country after La Liga’s winter break.
