I believe that the coach already knows most of his 23 members at this point and playing 2 games in may and June will be risky to our players. It will be risky injury-wise and our opponents will be privy to tactics, players etc. Nigerians needs to stop this mentality of “1 bad or good” game deciding if players should be dropped or selected because that’s not how football works

yes he may be close to knowing his first 11, but there are serious questions.

Who is our goalkeeper ? Akpeyi is rubbish and Ezenwa is not it either. Uzoho looks good but he has played HALF A MATCH. How can you in good faith not want us to play more friendlies. That is not wishing Nigeria well.

Shehu has been great, but Ebuehi has played against stronger opposition and completely shut them out. I am not convinced Shehu is better.

Left back is even more up in the air with Idowu and Aina good prospects who have both barely played for SE.

As for the wings, Onyekuru is now a long term injury. Musa has not played a game all season. Moses Simon is also injured. Who are we going to take on the wings, and have they played with the team ? Other than Moses and Iwobi, who will our wingers be ? God forbid any of them were to get injured PLAYING FOR THEIR CLUBS, and you don't want to look at other options. THis is criminal.

We need to look at both Success and Bazee, as well as possibly Bonaventure, Olayinka to have a solid depth.

We still do not know what is NAcho's best position, or if he will start on the bench. Have we settled on Ighalo as our targetman ? Do we need to experiment with formations and other prospects. Absolutely.

Again EVERY TEAM is playing 2 matches in March. We played 2 matches in November, so what is the difference ? It would be STUPID not to take this opportunity.

2 in march
1 in may
1 in June
By now, most of our 23 are already complete so I’m confused why 6 friendlies are needed. I hope this agents hasn’t compromised rohr integrity causing him to schedule more friendlies to try out newer players
We need the friendlies. Injuries can happen even before the friendlies.

This was a tough friendly against Yugoslavia days before the 1998 world Cup. And Baruwa was found out.

There should be a University course named "How Players use their own leg to destroy their career". They should show this Baruwa performance on the first day of class. He, at the time, had about a 70% chance of starting at the World Cup. After this game, Rufai was begged out of hybernation, and Baruwa's career was effectively over.

This is how to prepare for a world cup. This concept appears strange to some people who think we are playing too many matches.

No the nonsense is that you are prepared to go to Russia counting on Musa and Simon to create chances on the flanks, without even entertaining any other options.

That is a joke.

It’s Chile sauce (Chilli sauce) ketchup has no place in this one.
