His side got mauled... unfortunately the clip stops short of his goal..

[/video]

That said commendable that he scored coming of the bench late in the game.

Goal in the 85th minute .... so, he clearly played more than 3 minutes. :)

All goals count, and coming off the bench to be the one player who scores in a match where your team was outclassed is a good way to endear yourself to your manager .... but even speaking as Sadiq's "agent" :sneaky: , it would have been nicer if the goal came off the initial header, as opposed to a goalkeeper error. Of course, you need your centre-forward to poach and/or mop up chances like that, and some strikers have been known to miss from within the six ....

Is this two goals in three substitute appearances?

His coach should be biatched-slapped if he continues to bring him off the bench.

Funny you should say that.

Sadiq started against Feyenoord. He assisted on the equalizing goal .... and scored the winner (penalty). Not sure how long this video will be available:

PS: Where is the agent-hunter john12 these days? :???:

Actually sort of own that penalty. Very odd penalty. The ball seemed to be nowhere in sight. Umar was a nyisance throughout and seems to have improved his ball control.

I agree.
He seems to have added an element of aggression to his game which is great.
I really do see in him our next Yekini. He has everything.
Just needs to mature a little more and fully understand his body.

This guy bullies defenders all the time
Also he makes these lovely surging runs from deep which no one seems to notice
I think his height and lanky frame cause people to underestimate his strength and speed!
Crazy to me he hasn't been invited to the SE camp under Rohr

I do struggle with the fact that save for Iheanacho I have little trust in any of or other strikers. That includes Ighalo.

Sadiq Umar at least offers something different. I was hoping the same from Osimhen or Kayode, but they have had forgettable seasons.

Yeah, you've always been a great fan of Umar. I'm not quite sold on his physicality just yet and still believe he gets knocked off his feet too easily. Maybe its his high centre of gravity.
But he's getting better, stronger and more experienced.
If he adds a mean streak to his game he could become an absolute beast.

@Damunk: You are right. If the guy would have that body build Yekini had then it would be different. I always feel his opponents always have it easy knocking him off balance.....

He was indeed a holy terror and you could see that Feyernoord had no clue what to do with him. Was also fouled by the goalkeeper in the first half but the ref turned a blind eye to what should have been a penalty.

I don't know about all of that. But he should be given an opportunity to come to camp to fight for a spot.
