Did Jamie Vardy really criticize Wilfred Ndidi?

Post by wazobia »

3) Less selfishness in front of goal from Wilfred Ndidi
No Leicester player has taken more shots on goal in the Premier League this season than Wilfred Ndidi, whose only goal during 35 appearances in all competitions came in added time against Peterborough in the FA Cup when Leicester were already 4-1 up. While some might charitably label his selfishness as optimistic opportunism, it has irritated Jamie Vardy enough to become a press conference talking point. In his pre-match briefing before Leicester’s visit from Bournemouth, Claude Puel said he could understand Vardy’s frustration as “he wants all the balls to score”. Safe from relegation, the otherwise excellent Ndidi’s insistence on going for personal glory won’t make much difference in the Premier League, but is a foible that could ultimately cost his side dearly in an FA Cup that is very much up for grabs. It is time to the midfielder saw the error of his ways.

Place a wager on Ndidi to score vs England.

Vardy wants more goals but most of his goals are in the area,If Ndidi was to score most of these shots no one else in Leicester seems to take Vardy couldn’t talk!

He really needs to improve his shooting, he used to be better in Belgium. Also, overall passing and ball retention.

The EPL is more physical, fast and tactically a step up. Most opponents have had time to study his game, so will immediately force him unto his weaker foot or close down the shooting space. Xhaka is noticeable experiencing the same....

Seriously, some of you guys are pitiful in your self hating.
There are so many things wrong with Vardy criticizing Ndidi for taking too many shots instead of passing him the ball, and instead of joining Vardy in criticism of your fellow country man, you should be using your medulla-oblongata.

1st, its absolutely not true that "No Leceister player has taken more shots on goal than Ndidi". The facts completely disprove this basic statement (check it out yourself).

Riyad Mahrez 56
Jamie Vardy 47
Wilfred Ndidi 37

In addition, no one has completed more passes in Leceister or achieved more successful tackles than the man Vardy is criticizing.

2nd, not one person has come out to critisize Vardy for critisizing one of his key teammates this year, publicly to the press. If Vardy has issues with Ndidi, he should say it to him directly or to his coach so it is handled in house. If Ndidi did the same thing to Vardy, the same English press will be up in arms about how Ndidi is a bad teammate.

3rd, it is totally stupid for Vardy to want the ball funnelled to him the majority of the time. To start, it makes you a one dimensional team easy to defend. Smart strikers want their midfielders to take more shots on goal and become goal scoring threats.

If you have more midfield scoring threats in your team, then defenders will rush out to close out instead of hanging back to man mark strikers. This leaves more space for you to get the ball in good scoring positions, or even score clean-up (rebound) goals.

Personally, I hope Ndidi leaves this useless club that is doomed for mediocrity. He is way better than Leicester. I think Ndidi is exactly what PSG or Napoli needs to become a major European force for example.

Then maybe Vardy can recover the ball in midfield and pass the ball to himself to score to his hearts content.

:rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: you are a funny man!

You seem to not know the "Nigerian." As the quote goes, "the black man is his own worse enemy." A slave at heart and a second-class citizen, at mind.

Oliseh has an issue with a foreign club, they support the foreign club.

A foreign player criticizes Ndidi, they support the foreign player.

They call is being "objective." But those of us who know the "Nigerian" and his/her penchant for self-loathing and imbecility, we know that this has nothing to do with objectivity.

Anyway, na them know.
