Re: Kenneth Otigba Switches Allegiance Back To Hungary
Unbelievable. Because he willingly chose to play for us, we took it for granted. Maybe he should have said he wanted to play for Hungary from the beginning. I am sure someone from the NFF would have gone to beg him.Pavarotti wrote:Kenneth Otigba Switches Allegiance Back To Hungary

Can't blame him, he always wanted to play for Nigeria and indicated that on many occasions but was overlooked for some reason, I wouldn't wait around hoping in vain as well...I wish him all the best on his career.
Re: Kenneth Otigba Switches Allegiance Back To Hungary
He has a chance to represent two countries. We are always happy when it is us, but we insult the player when it is their other nationality.
Congrats Kenneth and wish you all the best playing for Hungary.

Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

What a shame. He missed Euro 2016 because he switched allegiance to Nigeria. Unfortunately it did not work out. I wish him all the best.7
I am happy

Nobody has insulted Otigba though.Tbite wrote:He has a chance to represent two countries. We are always happy when it is us, but we insult the player when it is their other nationality.

We overlooked him, as we have enough talent in that position now.
All the best to him. Rooting for him to have a decent career with Hungary.

Good luck to him. Unfortunately, he went to Turkey and started chopping bench. Ended up back in the Hungarian League.
Re: Kenneth Otigba Switches Allegiance Back To Hungary
He wasn't good enough to establish himself in the SE team.
Nor be crime.
Sometimes these FB players jump to the premature conclusion that they are good enough for the SE just because they are based abroad.
The only thing it might bring you is an accelerated trial, but no guarantees beyond that.
Wish him all the best though.

Good luck to him, i hope it works out well for him in Hungary.
We have been brainwashed by the Premier League that it's the best in the world. Nonsense. It's the best brand
Roy Keane: ITV 02/25/14
He says that we are currently "brainwashed" into believing that the Premier League is the best competition in the world, and that we are now a long way off dominating the Champions League again.
Gary Neville: Mirror: 12/23/14
I think Spain’s by far the best league.
Scholes. UK Guardian 9/6/16

Shame He was not a goalkeeper - would have been direct entry to Super Eagles camp

Re: Kenneth Otigba Switches Allegiance Back To Hungary
I don't think anyone is insulting the guy. If anything, our past coaches and to some extent the NFF are to blame not Otigba. Otigba has been brilliant all through. He refused a call up to the Hungary national team for Euro 2016 because he was waiting for a call up from Nigeria. I don't blame him at all. He is 26 and has no international cap. Good luck to him.Tbite wrote:He has a chance to represent two countries. We are always happy when it is us, but we insult the player when it is their other nationality.

I wonder why he was overlooked several times or for a long time. Is he not a good player? Anyway, good luck to him. He can't wait forever.Tobi17 wrote:Can't blame him, he always wanted to play for Nigeria and indicated that on many occasions but was overlooked for some reason, I wouldn't wait around hoping in vain as well...I wish him all the best on his career.

Wasn't there a problem getting him a passport?
Also his form dipped at the wrong time and others emerged ahead of him. Such is life.
I wish him well.

It clearly means the young man has done his part to pay for us and we FAILED him.Tbite wrote:I was anticipating the insults or bad belle.truetalk wrote:Nobody has insulted Otigba though.Tbite wrote:He has a chance to represent two countries. we really don't need him. He is surplus to requirements at
this point.
That may change if he lights up the field for Hungary and
our peeps start laying eggs.

Oh well, I'm used to SE being the backup plan for a lot of these players. Good luck with Hungary.
