What does it cost to CHECK whether Enyeama got anything to offer in CAMP. Just assess whether he still got anything to contribute. If he is not fit you decamp him. If he creates 'trouble' in camp you decamp him. If he shows that he can still help the team, then you keep him.

Yes there are arguement about his fitness. The coach can check that and make a decision. If at the end of the day, rookie Uzoho still happen to be our best we stick with him. We should at least explore all options.

In the age of twitter etc, have you heard Enyeama say he wants to return from retirement?

So until you hear from Vince, don't assume he wants to come back.

Additionally, don't assume Enyeama is willing to come compete with his son's mate and accept backup position.

Cmoke :D :D :D :D :D :D

P.S

Our best goalkeeping team going into wc na Uzoho, Enyeama and Ezenwa but it may not happen.

For me, Vin is surreptitiously putting up evidence that he has not been idle and he is being match fit. These are Rohr's requirements and the decision is in Rohr's hands. If Rohr is comfortable with his current crop if goalkeepers that is on him. Fact is you cannot wait for Vin to play a La Ligament game before calling him up when Rohr has called up two goalies who are Inez and have beeen playing in lower leagues.

Barring any injury setbacks, Vince will be in Camp for the World Cup preparations.

IMHO he has met the requirement of match fitness comparable to likes of Uzoho. Now it is up to the coach to decide whether to call him up or not but it is not in Enyeama's hands. Enyeama has done his bit.

Kpom x5

I assumed the regular posts by Enyeama was to show all doubters that he has been working really hard to get back to full fitness. I have a feeling that the belief in this team is one he shares as well and in all seriousness with our ambition he is the best one to be between the sticks. This is regardless of what has transpired in the past.

If Enyeama is interested he should get in touch with Mr.Rohr.

oluwaseye, so, the new mode of invitation to the Super Eagles is for interested players to "get in touch" with the manager? We Nigerians have a very unique sense of humor. What happened to the established mode of sending an invitation letter? I'm at a loss here.

Rohr along with his goalkeeper coach Pionetti Enrico are in communication with Enyeama.

Dude just needs to remain healthy.

And Enyeama has a very good relationship with Mikel so it is not a problem. Even at the last World Cup, Mikel was playing the role of team leader and co-captain without any friction from Enyeama.

The issue of Enyeama being a bad teammate is from the minds of over vivid imaginations of people trying to create beef where there's none.

Yes for a player who said he was retired the last few times he was invited. He should say he is no longer retired instead of posting compilations of himself online

So if Enyema comes back that's the ultimate panacea to all the problems confronting this team . By the way what did SE accomplish all these times he was manning our goal post? Is it not one heartbreaker to another unfortunately Enyema contributed prodigiously to the errors that precipitated the blunders. Honestly I'm not insinuating he was not a good goalkeeper but he is far from being Buffon..
The striking position is most precarious area that needs inordinate attention , it is absolutely the Achilles of this team not goal keeping. I hate it some people in this forum loves to be gratuitously expedient .

We don't have a goalkeeping problem? Go ask Rohr. Better than the gratuitously expedient outlet of playing the ostrich. No one has the fiat to exclude Enyeama or anyone from the team no matter his preferences. Only Rohr has that power. Thankfully.

It's a shame that your prejudiced mind cannot allow you to see that the greatest problem the SE have going to the WC is in the goalkeeping department. We have capable strikers like Ighalo, Iheanacho, Ideye etc who have scored goals at the highest level.
We lose nothing by inviting the experienced Enyeama to camp to show what he has to offer. No one is advocating a free pass to the WC for him. Gerrit? :???:

Enyeama publicly declared that he retired from the National Team and no longer wants to be considered. If he has changed his mind, he needs to publicly declare his intention to be considered again for the national team. Yaya Toure retired from the national team publicly and when he wanted to come out of retirement, he spoke publicly and the media picked up on it. Now it is up to the coach to call him when next a match is on the horizon. Same thing happend with Buffon who came out of retirement to play in Italy's friendlies in March.

Going the surreptitious way to manage self-esteem is not the way to go. Mr. Enyeama needs to publicly announce he has come out of retirement and then wait to see if he is called up by Rohr. Youtube Videos mean nothing. Speak up or enjoy retirement.

Let’s settle this the Nigerian way. Vince should call Mikel and mend fences if it’s true that there’re issues between them. He should also call ponetti, the GK trainer and say hello how are ya type of call. Once Rohr is informed of his willingness to return, Michael Jakes of owngoal will then write an “exclusive “ story on it. That’s it and that’s all. :thumb:
