Nigeria lost to Serbia because the jerseys were ugly. Also, the special egg that Babangida was supposed to deliver to Shonekan hours before the game didnt arrive on time.
Evans Bipi, had declared to the press, “Why must [Governor Amaechi] be insulting my mother, my Jesus Christ on earth?”

Second its flowery gay look subliminary softened our players because they assumed roles projected on them by their opponents without even knowing this. our players resorted to leisurely dance around or display to gallery and in the process succumbed to time wasting; seemingly insignificant fractions of seconds to the naked eyes were being wasted by our players in-between challenging for balls. Delayed or optical illusions generated by the strange color combinations subjected our players to essentially semi playing spectators on the pitch often left admiring themselves. all you have to do is compare our no nonsense tackling and challenge for the ball a week earlier in Poland and the difference was obvious. The spell put on the referees by the jersey was even equally worse that they couldn't even award our opponents an obvious goal or make any tough calls against the school kids hence further worsening or degrading our instincts to play naturally. It gets worse but Im in hurry right now.

We have been brainwashed by the Premier League that it's the best in the world. Nonsense. It's the best brand
Roy Keane: ITV 02/25/14

He says that we are currently "brainwashed" into believing that the Premier League is the best competition in the world, and that we are now a long way off dominating the Champions League again.
Gary Neville: Mirror: 12/23/14

I think Spain’s by far the best league.

:D They should get used to the jersey. Wear it against DRC.

VS Croatia - We are away so we wear GREEN
VS Iceland - We are home so we wear the PJs
VS Argentina - We are home so we wear the PJs

When we said the game is played on the green grass, we were referring to the playing surface. Unfortunately it would appear that some of our forum participants have taken this to mean recreational substances. Therefore, they have come to the conclusion that the game can be analyzed when consuming another variety of the 'green grass'.

This topic is exhibit A. To the aforementioned forumers, please refrain from consuming such substances when 'analyzing' the game, and instead draw inspiration from the true green grass, or better yet the playing surfaces, to avoid further confusion. As such we advise that you Jette-son all recreational substances, effective immediately.

Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

Yet another disturbing trend is that some have also chosen to confuse the Eagle Winged pattern of the Nigerian Jersey with a form of 'Green Grass' aesthetic. Please be aware that the game is not decided by this green grass either! The game will be decided by the calibre and tactics of the footballers and technical personnel on the playing surfaces!

If in doubt, please refer to your nearest broadcast.

Regards

The green unveiled in all the promos was a lot darker than the lime green we saw on the pitch. That's why some people likes it then, but don't now. See the difference:

Even the socks were darker.
