better quality.
We have been brainwashed by the Premier League that it's the best in the world. Nonsense. It's the best brand
Roy Keane: ITV 02/25/14

He says that we are currently "brainwashed" into believing that the Premier League is the best competition in the world, and that we are now a long way off dominating the Champions League again.
Gary Neville: Mirror: 12/23/14

I think Spain’s by far the best league.

Yakubu's was worse, because it was square...he didn't have to angle it, just direct it perpendicular.

Cavani ok at least the ball had a bit of pace and it was not perpendicular, he still had to angle it. So slightly more difficult than Yakubu's.

But we should not be too harsh on these players. It is only because it was a WC that we keep yabbing Yakubu (ok maybe chewing gum and smiling didn't help matters). But MANY top footballers have missed in similar circumstances.

I have seen Kanu Nwankwo (that we all love) miss for West Brom or was it Portsmouth in a manner as bad as Yakubu! It was probably even closer to goal than Yakubu's. He skied it over the bar!

So it can be shocking, but takes nothing away from how good these players are. Yakubu is still one of our best footballers of all time. Cavani is still Ligue 1's top scorer this season.
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT
