Marseille v Atletico Madrid (19:45 BST)

Former West Ham midfielder Dimitri Payet captains Marseille, with the Frenchman among four ex-Premier League players in the starting 11.

Former Crystal Palace goalkeeper Steve Mandanda plays, as does Jordan Amavi, once of Aston Villa, and Florian Thauvin, previously at Newcastle.

Another couple of Premier League ledges - Clinton N’Jie and Kostas Mitroglou - are on the bench.

Marseille: Mandanda, Sarr, Rami, Gustavo, Amavi, Zambo, Sanson, Thauvin, Payet, Ocampos, Germain. Subs: Pele, Sakai, Kamara, Rolando, Mitroglou, N'Jie, Lopez.

Former Chelsea striker Diego Costa leads the line for Atletico Madrid, but Fernando Torres is on the bench.

Antoine Griezmann, Saul Niguez and Angel Correa all start. Filipe Luis is on the bench, with Lucas Hernandez at left-back.

Atletico Madrid: Oblak, Vrsaljko, Gimenez, Godin, Lucas, Correa, Gabi, Saul, Koke, Griezmann, Costa. Subs: Werner, Filipe Luis, Thomas, Torres, Savic, Juanfran, Gameiro.

What a horrible team Atleti are...

Teams like this truly devalue the game.
Form is temporary; Class is Permanent!
Liverpool, European Champions 2005.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. We used to think before then that if the other players are better, you have to lose. After that we learned anything is possible – you can beat better teams by using tactics." Jurgen Klopp

No sir. Atleti is much stronger than this. They are playing to the expectation of weakness of Marseilles. Football dies everytime teams like this win.

Imagine if every team played like this? How many of us would bother with the game?

Just read Costa has been stinking up the joint.

I hope he scores a winner's goal.

Rudi Garcia...goat

You can't get a foothold in MF cus Atleti have pushed up and you are bringing in attacking player after attacking player...

Just getting into the thread, I assume this reaction was either to his slicing the ball into row Z or his unnecessary 'fighting'....Clinton was off all day.
