Chei, EPL's Money miss road...
Info by CIES Football Observatory.
Liverpool's poorer squad is worth £754m compared to Real Madrid's squad at £641m?
EDIT: Liverpool should have a big 1 in the medals column.
Thanks to joao for pointing this out.

I see you miss also the most value player
Re: Chei, EPL's Money miss road...
Brain miss road... Value is not how much they spend to assemble squad........but potentially how much the squad is worth in today's market. Age also has a lot to do with it.Kabalega wrote:

More importantly, the experience of Real is invaluable or unquantifiable. Many would choose Real over Liverpool for this reason but in terms of sell on value, a young Liverpool side might hold their value more.

Liverpool’s expensive squad has no depth, while Real Madrid’s bench can give Liverpool’s first team a run for their money.
Age does not account for such a huuuuge anomaly.
Sure, brain miss road, but it certainly is not on my end.

Re: Chei, EPL's Money miss road...
That is why I talked about experience.. Value is a bit deceptive. The quality of Real Madrid players is higher than that of Liverpool but they are aging. A young Ronaldo will be worth more than most Liverpool players. You need to understand what goes into a players value. Dum dumKabalega wrote:Look at squad depth.pajimoh wrote:Brain miss road... But C Ronaldo is worth more than Salah even in todays market.
Winners do it the right way.

Anyway, how can today's market be so skewed that Real Madrid's bench is good enough to beat Liverpool's first eleven yet Liverpools squad is way more expensive than Real Madrid's?
It's simply money miss road.

Kabalega, your statistic info on champions league medalss is very flawed.

No you missed the point. You still don't get it. You compare based on current market value of all parties involved. Not prices paid years ago for some, and current price for others.Kabalega wrote:I believe you missed ohenhen1's point.Scipio Africanus wrote:That is the key. How can anyone forget Istanbul 2005? That one was a classic.
The big fat zero should be a 1.
NB: Please note anything before UEFA CL doesn't count.

The fact that you still don't understand is worrying. Who is better I a side issue from your topic headline. Let me just say this, anything with a diminishing returns, the value tends to go down. Players have diminishing returns with age. Some clubs will not give a 29 year ok a 5 year contract for a reason. What is the "sell on" value of 24 year ok compare to a 30 year old.Kabalega wrote:So according to your theories, Real Madrid is a better squad but is older and thus cheaper than Liverpool's?pajimoh wrote:That is why I talked about experience.. The price payed for Ronaldo is no longer a world record. Different times, different valuation. All these and more goes to make a players valuation. Separate this from which is the better team.

So you sit on your computer and conclude that Real Madrid bench can beat Liverpool first 11.Na video game?Let Real first team beat Liverpool first team first.Did not spurs beat this same Realfirst team?Kabalega wrote:I believe you missed ohenhen1's point.Scipio Africanus wrote:That is the key. You have to agree though that if Real Madrid has the squad they have, then Real Madrid have probably managed their assets and funds better than Liverpool.
The real elephant in the room, is the EPL sticker price. You can mask it as “today’s prices” or “age” but anyway you slice and dice, it all boils down to the EPL over paying for players.
Liverpool can beat Real Madrid’s first team but that does not mean that Real Madrid’s bench cannot beat Liverpool.kajifu wrote:So you sit on your computer and conclude that Real Madrid bench can beat Liverpool first 11.Na video game?Let Real first team beat Liverpool first team first.Did not spurs beat this same Realfirst team?
The key difference is that Liverpool’s bench cannot beat Real Madrid’s first or second eleven.
Which means that Liverpool's first eleven is way over valued.
