Spoke to my friend at Nike. He says if you see any site that says 'preorder', know that you will not get that shirt till after the tournament because Nike won't be shipping more of the shirts till early August so buyer beware.

True however if the Nigerian is manufacturing in Nigeria, has offices in Nigeria, etc. E dey contribute somehow even if the majority of money goes to him.

The sales do count, just not as much as most people think. The major chunk of what Nigeria gets came from the initial deal but there's an agreed percentage for each product sold also in the deal.

Since Nike unveiled its streetwise design for the Nigeria's World Cup team kit three months ago, there has been a frenzy online from people eager to splash out $90 for a shirt.

The Nigeria Football Football Federation (NFF) entered into a three-and-half-year partnership with Nike to make the country's kits in 2015. The deal was worth $3.75m and a $500,000 bonus if the "Super Eagles" qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, according to Goal.com.
The NFF previously had a deal with German sportswear brand Adidas, joining countries such as Australia, Brazil, England, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, South Africa, the US and South Korea.

Meanwhile England's 12-year kit deal with Nike is reportedly worth $457 million

This is 100% marketing driven not about giving the product to everyone. Scarcity drives lust and desire. The relationship with Nigeria started rocky but it has grown up fast and Nigeria is the only Nike federation who was willing to let Nike go 'wild' with designs, so they crafted the 'edgier' marketing around us.

Nike does have supply chain issues FWIW but not around this particular thing.

Adidas said last week it expects to sell 1.3 million Germany jerseys this year, helped by the European championship. That is more than the 1 million it sold in 2012 when the last Euro tournament took place, but down from the 3 million shirts it shifted in 2014, when Germany won the World Cup.
