2 of the finest indigenous coaches Nigeria ever had lost in a space of 4 days. Dear Lord, is this a sign that you are taking away from us what we failed to appreciate? Agreed. It’s not simply about being brave. You can be stupid while brave.

We have invested nothing in our game that matches our expectations.

We watched this very boring video, 500 times, of Sacchi doing defensive drills, using sticks and without the ball, with Maldini, Baresi and Albertini. Yes and he is not as mechanical as the rest. He has something unique that we all see. But at the same time, his bag of talents gives you another tool in your swiss army knife.

The great thing about this victory for Mexico is that even more important than it helping them qualify from the group it will help them avoid playing Brazil in the R16.

Heh heh! This game sweet me well well o. Serves Low right for leaving out Sane. One of the commentators on TSN used the “N” word in reference to Germany, :D that word usually reserved for Africans: “naive” defending.

Probably the best German player out there. You have to pay attention to how they play out wide.
The out wide where the Mexicans made more key passes than a drug cartel? Did sod all going back and even less going forward. Perhaps it was the garlic in all four corners of the stadium #draxcula

It must be noted that this is a golden generation for the mexican NT. This lot won the U17 and U20 worlds cups several years back ... if I am not mistaken.
These are the lot that were down to 10 and still gave us a tough game under keshi? in houston

They aren’t awful. They just tend to underachieve. Plus for a long time they focused on the long balll. Not any longer though.

Need to pay more attention to the game than your cliches...Sane is a non factor for Germany.

Not sure why you EPL fans cannot understand that.

It is referred to as the long pass now. :)

Many defending champions before today, lost their first game.
In fact, it is almost an expectation. :)

I like his mentality of taking it to the opponent and make them pay. My only issue is that he more of a tinker man lol, outside of that, he is an awesome coach and our African coaches need to learn a thing or two from his aggressive approach
The only thing that will hurt mexico is their strikers not being sharp in front of goal, they need to take chances , they could have been 2-0 up after 75 mins today, another day, those missed chances can prove costly, like it did last WC against Netherlands

And that is Key. How they play. I am sure Loew could have told him he had a specific task and will be used if and when needed.
