As long as shehu and headless chicken Musa don't start, there is hope of a one goal win by Nigeria. Idowu should play but elderson can handle that LB as long as he does not get a red. The team should be prepared to go a man down just incase onazi or elderson sees red early.

Why are you so concerned about line ups

Ndidi had decent game against Croatia, his good on the air and knows how to shoot from afar so why drop him for tat midget onazi??
Iwobi is more direct, skillful and energetic than Mikel although he wasn’t impressive in the first game, he was better than Mikel so why drop him for Mikel??
IHEANACHO is super eagles best shooter, goal scorer and direct set piece taker knowing how many set piece Moses has wasted I believe that Iheanacho set piece abilities can come to use so why drop him for HOLDING STRKERS.

Echiejile shouldn’t even had made the team no response

Nah our way nah. The forum wouldn't be fun if we didn't whine and moan every 5 minutes about one thing or the other

There was definitely a players' meeting, and they have seized some control from Rohr, with some tacit support from the NFF (Rohr is saying we should be 4th & justifying the loss, NFF is saying we'll pay you for 3 wins with the increased bonus if you just manage to reach the 2nd round). Which gets us the $45K qualifying bonus.
It also helps that the players are standing up to be counted and be accountable. That is always a good thing in sports.

The problem is that in typical Naija fashion, the 'senior' players now want to 'lead by example' from the field, even if their contributions may be better as cheerleaders from the bench, which means the captain (Mikel), Vice Captain (Onazi), and 2nd Vice Captain (Elderson) must start, and Iwobi, Ndidi and Onazi go to the bench.

We should still have enough to get past Iceland, but at least one of these three (plus Mrs Ighalo) will permanently drop himself to the bench & maybe out of the Eagles tomorrow.

You’re assuming a lot of things here bro.

Ewu,

Why don’t you give credit to Owngoal?
What is owngoal reporting vis-a-vis the rest of the lineup bro?
You dey mind CEs who refuse to grow up.

A CE journalist who doesnt post here again somewhere wrote this line up for tomorrow:
Uzoho - Abdullahi, ldowu, Balogun, Troost Ekong - Ndidi, Mikel, Etebo, Moses - Iwobi, lheanachor.

Then KoC, one of 2 Naija reporters with SE in Essentuki (according to KoC himself) said the line up was wrong, adding that the team will start with 3 at the back.

On Omeruo, the info was advanced by a Super Sport presenter.

Owngoal has yet to write a line up. The guy said he will do so tomorrow morning.

The issue of releasing inside info of SE has generated some ruckus because Samm Audu, the other Naija reporter with access to the SE hotel, who was there on the bill of FIFA was thrown out and replaced by another FIFA ad hoc personnel on the request of NFF cos Rohr was reportedly Iivid that an internal program of SE appeared in Score Nigeria, run by Audu, who I understand isn't in the good books of Pinick.

180 million naija coaches and each has a different lineup. What’s new? ... Get behind your country and quit whining like babies. Bunch of clowns.

Although Ndidi disappointed me, painfully, in the Croatia game, he is our best midfielder. He hasnt played a lot in 2 months, so clearly he wasnt match fit. Dropping his is foolish.

As for Simy. We need his height to defend set pieces! We desperately need his height out there.

If we’re sacrificing scoring to defend set pieces then the Super Eagles shouldn’t be taken seriously. Height alone doesn’t win the set piece battle.

How many players on the Nigerian team scored more goals club goals that Simy in the last 6 months?

I think this lineup isn’t legit. Colin wouldn’t leak a lineup after what happened to Samm Audu.

I'm hoping this your story isn't true.

Rohr doesn't strike mw as the type of person to stay while senior players control player selection.
