The decision to drop Ola Aina for Brian Idowu and Elderson

Not making sense. ROHR basically knew Elderson was a water boy once Idowu was found out he had to play Tyrone out of position. Considering 3-5-2 was our best formation in the friendlies and Idowus unwillingness to join the attack what was the plan?
