The word Golden Boot Soccer (GBS) Academy rings a bell around ‎followers of Nigerian football since 2011 when Ahmed Musa took the Nigeria Professional Football League by storm while playing for Kano Pillars.

One man was said to have believed in him even when the player had doubts over his abilities and he is now the famous coach Bros of GBS Academy. Real name Ahmed Ibrahim.

The discovery of Musa was the start of something big for the Jos based trainer but according to Babawo Mohammed, an ex footballer turned agent, coach Bros has been around and he is widely regarded as one of the best long before he came to limelight with the discovery of Musa.

” I worked under him and he is one of the brightest we have in Jos when it comes to moulding young players to their potentials. It’s no coincidence that he is churning out quality players from his academy. He knows what he is doing “, Babawo told Owngoalnigeria.com.

He didn’t stop at discovering Musa and despite hitting it big from the transfer of Musa to CSKA Moscow, he pushed for more players and made a habit since then.

Moses Simon, Kingsley Madu and Aliko Bala were the next to join his now elongated list of discoveries and since then Samuel Kalu, Hilary Gong, Maduka Udeh, Peter Eneji, Jesse Akila and Saidu Salisu have emerged from his academy.

Presently about ten players form his Academy are turning out for different clubs in Europe but the soft spoken coach, who is yet to answer our demands for an interview is reportedly still grooming more teenagers for trails in Europe at his Academy base in Bukuru, Jos, Plateau state, Nigeria.
