Everton turn down £12m offer for Ademola Lookman

Post by Senator WIRES »

Everton have turned down an opening bid of £12million from RB Leipzig for talented winger Ademola Lookman.

The 20-year-old impressed on loan at the Bundesliga side in the second half of last season, scoring five times in just 11 appearances.

And according to the Daily Mirror, Lookman's form in Germany has led to Leipzig making a permanent offer

Wish we could get this this kid, but it's looking more unlikely now with the good form England is enjoying at the moment... every Naija-British kid will now want to fly the three lions jersey.

Ademola Lookman is on England manager Gareth Southgate's radar!!
Gareth Southgate is already planning to blood the next batch of English football's emerging young talent next season as his Euro 2020 quest begins in earnest.

Jadon Sancho, Ryan Sessegnon and Ademola Lookman are among the players who will be closely monitored by Southgate next season as he looks to freshen up his squad, despite their captivating run to the World Cup semi-final.

Southgate's men return home as heroes this weekend, but many of them are already facing a fight to keep their place in future squads as the England boss continues his youthful revolution.

They will be playing the UEFA nations league matches now instead of friendlies, meaning there will be more opportunities to cap players.

I am of course assuming the UEFA nations league cap ties players.

Are you guys seriously expecting the likes of Ejaria, Lookman, etc to refuse England after their recent "success"?

This WC was a missed opportunity for Nigeria.

I wouldn't say that o. Nigeria at least participated and had a fairly decent showing, our early exit notwithstanding.

Good luck to them. We shall pray for their safe escape from the lynch mob when it all goes wrong as usual. :D
Maybe they'll be lucky and just get unfulfilled death threats like Emile Heskey.
