This isn't news, there are 2 Mikels..one that wears the green white green, who is the best ever midfielder Nigeria ever produced , and one that plays club football

I like the a analysis and I must say I am a fan of this institute

But

It is obviously expected or necessary for there to be differentials that are.not entirely influenced by the individual.

Football is not an individual game, although we like to think of it that way.

When the dynamics change, so too will the players contributions.

Some of it may very well be about the players mindset, but much of it is down to of factors beyond his control.
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

You meant Mikel and Hazard, not Rodriguez? See the table again. Rodriguez is doing as expected based on his club output, while Mikel and Hazard significantly exceeded expectations.
