Aha! Thanks for the explanation.marutimon wrote:He can't get a work permit.Damunk wrote:Galatasaray?
What happened to Everton?
A forward thinking coach would have invited him to the national team just so that Onyekuru can get more caps.
Considering that we won the last WC he's sabotaging Nigerian football.cchinukw wrote:Aha! Thanks for the explanation.marutimon wrote:He can't get a work permit.Damunk wrote:Galatasaray?

Rohr could be a mole sabotaging Nigerian football right under our noses. Time will tell.
Considering he set the bar so low (learning expedition), I am tempted to think that was the case.EMIR KONGI JAFFI JOFFA wrote:Considering that we won the last WC he's sabotaging Nigerian football.cchinukw wrote:Aha! Why just him though? Theres a lot of Nigerian players that can use some caps on their CV.marutimon wrote:He can't get a work permit.Damunk wrote:Galatasaray?

Are you minding Nigerians . Funny enough they have latched onto we are here to learn paradigm to crucify the coach. I wonder what the same would have said if he took an unfit Onyekuru who did nothing all season to the WC , the same would have been shouting......................................., pls fill in the gap anyone who caresmaceo4 wrote:Why just him though? You have a point but there were several unused players in the squad and there’s no doubt in my mind that Onyekuru would have been more productive than any one of themoloye wrote:Are you minding Nigerians . You guys just wake up and type rubbish. Is it the National team coach's job to ensure every Nigerian player gets work permit to play football in England? Wasn't Onyekuru invited to the SE when he was healthy and playing well?marutimon wrote:He can't get a work permit.Damunk wrote:Galatasaray?

They've been pinpointed as players of the future. That's the more reason not to rush things. It's easy to sit behind your keyboard and blame someone else because Onyekuru cannot get into Everton team. Is Everton the only top club he could have signed for, that the SE would have to be picking players based on their clubs need? PLEASEmarutimon wrote:pajimoh wrote:Some of you talk poop, it stinks. If he or Nwakali had been pinpointed as players for the future at the beginning of last year, they both could have accumulated a significant number of call ups. Not all players should be getting that type of preferential treatment, but we haven't had a midfield talent of Nwakali's calibre since Mikel first burst onto the scene, while Onyekuru's Belgian exploits should have made him a shoe in for calls ups ages ago.
We don't have many players tearing it up, so we can afford to give a select few preferential treatment.
Especially Onyekuru deserved a chance based on merit. He arguably could have been a key player for us just like Ndidi and also could likely have filled the Moses Simon void at left wing.
It's not Onyekuru's fault with the work permit rules.pajimoh wrote:They've been pinpointed as players of the future. That's the more reason not to rush things. He was called earlier, played and didn't show he could be a key player. Plus he was just coming off injury. Rohrs job was to take the best and healthiest hands to the WC, not to try and make sure players get caps so they can play for their club team. He knew he didn't have the caps when he decided to sign for Everton...marutimon wrote:pajimoh wrote:Some of you talk poop, it stinks. It's not the SE's fault either. Clubs develop players and national teams come calling. If we start expecting call ups so as to allow players to get into clubs or meet certain rules, then just give the SE to agents.marutimon wrote:It's not Onyekuru's fault with the work permit rules.pajimoh wrote:They've been pinpointed as players of the future. More callups would have likely had him already playing for Everton.
There is hardly anything more that Onyekuru could have done, apart from not signing an EPL side.
Its a loan...bully12 wrote:He is making another egregious and stupid mistake . He should move to Germany, Spain or France. Who are his advisers . Honestly they want to ruin the boy's career . It is absolutely a wrong move for him.
