Maybe you can explain why he is not a world class player?
A good player is reliable in matches and maintains the pace and flow of the game - A great player reliable in matches and changes the pace and flow of the game. Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, etc are all players who can change the pace of the game with one crucial play.
A good player does what is asked. A great player does more than required - You’ve heard the stories. When Cristiano Ronaldo was rising through the ranks as a youth player, there were stories of him being caught in the weight room (in the middle of the night) working on his dribbling skills. He had weights tied to his ankles because he wanted to increase his foot speed.
A good player understands the fundamentals. A great player knows the fundamentals and is naturally talented. - Good players are technically sound in all aspects of the game (passing, dribbling, first touch, awareness, etc.). The greatest players however have all shown signs early in their development of having a creative genius. The examples are clear. Look at videos of Ronaldinho as a child or Messi as a child. Their talent was undeniable. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard, but when talent works hard you have the recipe for a legendary player.
A good player is a part of the machine. A great player is the head of the machine. - Good players are important pieces of every line up and are often difficult to replace. They hold down and play their position well. A great player is irreplaceable and is someone who most of the play goes through. Leaving this player out of the line up will cause a noticeable change in the performance of a team. In crucial moments you often hear players and coaches yelling to give that player the ball because they have the potential to win a game.
A great player has accolades to back up their greatness. - Look at many of the players that are considered some of the all time greats: Zidane, Maradona, Pele, etc. What do they have in common? They have all won a World Cup. Being a great player often means being able to lead your team/country to championships and WIN.
Prior to coming to united, Pogba won 4 titles at Juventus, at united, Mourinho uses him in a different position than Juventus, he had to adjust his game, play messi as a defensive midfielder and be will be an average player
The world class talent has always been there for everyone to see, when Pogba does not play for united, we look ordinary, go check his assist stats, its right up there
Playing for France and especially at the knock out stage and he is a big game player and always been, he started playing his best football in the last 2 years, took out Argentina, Uruguay, Belgium and Croatia, only world class players are capable of been consistent at that level
Also he has the honours to back this up, well i dont need to write what he has won in the game
So please tell us if he is not world class, explain?
