Did football come "home"?

Post by cic old boy »

Some folks in the mainstream media and social media have been knocking Pogba for "taunting" England by singing "football's coming home" while holding the World Cup. Some said he shouldn't be rubbing it in the faces of the country where he earns his wages.

But France is actually the "home" of the WC. The tournament was conceived by Jules Rimet - a Frenchman. So Pogba is technically right.

It is probably worthless to a Houston cabbie. Those of us in the UK get it.
