Chris Giwa and his boys kicked out by DSS on Buhari's orders
Security men forcefully evacuate Chris Giwa faction from NFF secretariat on Buhari's orders - See more at: https://goo.gl/ZD9omj
Common sense finally prevails but sports minister Solomon Dalong should have been sacked as part of this. He should have told the president that the high court does nor have the jurisdiction to intervene in Fifa matters and as such the Jos verdict should never have even been considered in the first place.

Buhari is breaking the law to restore FIFA rules. The judge that ordered Giwa return to the NFF should be sanctioned. We also need the cheif justice to issue an order barring judges from hearing NFF internal conflict cases like electoral matters. The judge should refer all parties to CAS.
Winners do it the right way.

ohenhen, the Chief Justice cannot order anything. There is something called the Rule of Law and Seperation of Powers. While the judges interpret the law, the Executive, led by the President implement it. Sending the DSS to eject Giwa is within the purview of the Executive ostensibly to maintain law and order or the status quo. The courts are in a conundrum. Because it is a path to "justice", Giwa could still file an inane motion tomorrow. At this rate, we probably need an Act of the National Assembly named after Giwa barring anyone from bringing football and FIFA-related suits before our municipal courts.ohenhen1 wrote:Buhari is breaking the law to restore FIFA rules. Re: DSS FORCES GIWA OUT OF NFF
Those that are for a better Nigeria really need to look at this very carefully and see how lawless of a country we are.
Sports minister speaks, court rules on an issue they have no jurisdiction over. Giwa then takes the document to personally evict the staff of a private institution from it’s offices and impose himself as chairman even with an international ban looms on the country.
What kind of animals are these people? Isn’t this what you’d expect a dog to do to a cat over food? Wow! I don’t think Nigeria is redeemable.

Re: DSS FORCES GIWA OUT OF NFF
Where were our government lawyers when the matter was taken to court. They should just have produced Fifa documents showing that the court has no jurisdiction to entertain the suit.
Re: DSS FORCES GIWA OUT OF NFF
Giwa has been at this for 4 years. He took his case to CAS and lost. Surely this guy has other things to do with his life. If he is so desperate to be NFF boss then why not contest the next election which is just months away? He knows he cannot legitimately win the NFF elections that's why he wants to force his way in via the crooked Nigerian courts.

They did. Festus Keyamo representing Pinnick, presented the letter to the Jos High court. It was shown on TV.Ayo Akinfe wrote:Where were our government lawyers when the matter was taken to court. Re: DSS FORCES GIWA OUT OF NFF
Exile that maga.
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

There is something wrong. Judges that dont have juridiction are making judgements. They can't read FIFA rules.Obong wrote:ohenhen, the Chief Justice cannot order anything. Judges are hearing and judging on matters they have no jurisdiction on, thus causing confusion.
How else to restore sanity than by proving the judges irrelevant?

The planet of the Apes would be better run than Nigeria,a fool sat in an office and deared immanent embarrassment to befall him and people agreed and even followed him knowing that FIFA would have just made this whole practice redundant being they wouldn't be allowed to operate in the civilised world. What they where they planning to do create their own local village World Cup as they weren't going anywhere with out the recognition of FIFA?

Buhari/The Government actually broke the law. What should have happened was for Pinnick/NFF to file an injunction and then file an appeal of the judgment claiming that the court did not have lawful jurisdiction.
It isn't a surprise coming from a government that doesn't obey court orders that it doesn't like.

You cannot file an injunction on an illegal judgement where the court had zero jurisdiction in the first place. To do so, is to acknowledge the courts right to judgement which was clearly out of line.Cellular wrote:Buhari/The Government actually broke the law. BTW, how do you expect the government to obey court "orders" on a case that you, me, and everyone with half a brain knows should never had been heard in the first place???
Because we all know the judge is a corrupt ignoramus that was paid to make that order that's why.

Re: DSS FORCES GIWA OUT OF NFF
What I find interesting is how so many of the Pinnick haters and "Rohr must go" crowd are all of a sudden law abiding citizens, more interested in defending the law when it suits their needs, but looking the other way when it was illegally used to pursue an agenda aligned with their interests.
I suppose in the jungle that is Nigerian politics, there is no right or wrong,...just self interests.

Or the "Rohr Must Go" crowd?
The fact is that Rohr failed. If Pinnick and the NFF want to retain him, it is their prerogative. But let's not claim that he has succeeded. Next is AFCON qualifiers, hope he gets the ticket. You might ready up an excuse...
