Nigerian Youth Team Coach Also Accused of Collecting Bribe From Player Agents

Image

Following the release of a video of Nigeria football coach Salisu Yusuf receiving cash to invite players for the AFCON qualifiers more revelations are coming out as to the depth of corruption in Nigerian football

The decadence seems to have eaten deep into the fabric of Nigerian football via local coaches especially within the youth teams . . . . http://www.soccerassembly.com/nigerian- ... er-agents/

A shame if true but sounds like agent/parent-sponsored PR IMO. Let's always remember we are fighting corruption in general... by coaches, by agents or by the press
The players parents are expressly disappointed painting a scenario similar to how French Superstar Kylian Mbappes dad complained about the Cameroonian football federation asking him for money making his son decide to play instead for France
Reading between the lines, the parents are essentially threatening to have their son represent another country if he doesn't get in the team.

txj,

Bros, take it easy. Not every accusation should be assumed true until evidence is duly provided as in the Salisu case. If not, we will run into the shout "Ole, ole" crowd and public lynching that may include those that may be innocent.

The reality is that this has been going on for decades in Nigerian football, and has been WELL KNOWN to many.

Those who speak up are quickly shouted down and asked for evidence, like they need to become Perry Mason before they can speak up. Or have their persons attacked. That my bro is the MO here for the last 10yrs...

And I maintain that those who engage in shouting those who speak up, choose the side of cheats and are by extension cheats.

That is the reality...and that is why we continue to cheat...

People like you LIE many times which is why people don't believe anything you say.

The story of the 'youth prodigy' who failed the MRI test but you consistently lied about the situation is still fresh. You continue to malign the football federation just because of your pecuniary interest.

Hope the youth prodigy has turned to the next Messi now.

When you want to accuse people who are not available to defend themselves, show proof! What you hear at the beer parlour when you are high on burukutu does not count!

You've started talking rubbish again.
Tell us what is wrong with asking for specifics as is the case with Salisu Yusuf?
You encourage - not to mention practice - gossip and rumour and then you try and claim the moral high ground?
Don't make us laugh.
Mention names. Show your evidence. Game over.

You cannot ask a whistleblower for evidence that the authorities should produce from an investigation and expect to be taken serious.

Folks like u are the reason Nigeria will never develop. You make a ready bed for liars and cheats. Which in turn makes you an accomplice in the act...

Wanaho the retard!

You lack the basic intelligence to make a distinction between whistleblowing and investigative evidence...

Chill with the name calling. The authorities can't investigate every baseless accusation like the one in this particular report. There's no time or resource to investigate everytime a player gets dropped from the team or the starting line up.

I missed this post earlier but this makes a lot of sense now. This family is social media savvy. They all have insta pages and inundate us with news of the players who are still academic footballers. The girl was invited to the nike jersey launch despite not being a key member of the falcon or falconets.

This accusation isn't worth anybody's time
