Luke Ayodele Amos, 1 to get locked down

Post by Its a Goal »

Tottenham HotSpur has produced another brilliant midfielder named Dele. Unlike Alli, this Dele, better known as Luke, is a box to box midfield who who can operate as either a DM or AM. He has played all 90 minutes in the 3 ICC matches played thus far. I won't be surprised if he gets to start against Newcastle in Tottenham's opening match. Hopefully he won't turn his back on us.

He has performed well and has also grown quite well. I remember watching him at the lower levels and thinking that he was quite small.

However is his game time due to his quality or is it due to the injuries in CM? That I am not yet clear on.

I believe it is due to quality though the likes of Wanyama, Dier, Sissoko and Lamela had limited or no part in this tournament. I believe he is going to be the next Winks to emerge from the youth ranks.

One more player that shone like a million stars last night was Eyoma. He looked extremely composed and assured partnering Sanchez at CB. I don't think he will be get any action with the first team this season but in a year or 2 he would as long as he continues his rapid development.

I enjoyed watching Totoham play last season. I am considering applying for a provisional permit to be a fan. There was a point where they along with ManCity played the most attractive brand of football.

With a deeper bench, they could have challenged for a trophy. That Champions League meltdown after they were cruising... what happened?

Melt down ke? You call one goal lead for a very inexperience team, cruising? Did you see the type of games the CL churned out last season - with 4 goals first leg leads being overturned? Barca suffered, Juve suffered and the season before, PSG suffered.

That read like a Conte-level of suffer.
